<Aubry>

I walked into the small cafe, in the gorgeous town of Montreal. It had few people in it but I don't see why. This place was absolutely amazing. It smelled like fresh out of the over pastries, decorated with various chocolates. Oh, and fresh brewed french vanilla coffee, my favorite.

There was a cute couple sitting at the vintage metal chairs and table, just enjoying each others company. I want that, but I'm just a hopeless romantic. A guy who looked to be a few years older than me sat alone eating a croissant.

I walked up to the counter and looked at the chalk written menus on black boards hanging from the wall. It was all in french. Time to whip out my amazing french speaking skills.

"Bonjour, Mademoiselle." The lady greeted me.

"Bonjour! J'aimerais un croissant avec chocolat, et un café au lait." I ordered. She smiled and nodded. After a short wait She had my chocolate croissant and coffee with milk ready.

I looked over to see that man again. He looked so.... depressed. I wasn't really well-known in this city I guess. Nobody noticed me at least. So I did what any caring person would do. I walked over and sat down.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" I asked. He looked up at me. Just staring me down. Those piercing chocolate eyes. I scanned his face. Sharp jawline, high cheek bones, over-all great complexsion.

"Uh yeah." He mummbled. Then just silence. Awkward silence. I moved my feet, fumbled with my fingers, but he was still silent. I felt awkward staring at him, because he would just look down at his thumbs.

"So what's your name?" I managed to croak out. He looked up and those eye meet mine again. Those eyes. He looked down again.

"It's Mitch." He breathed.

"Just Mitch. No last name? No Middle name? Well I'm Aubry." I answered. He scoffed a bit under his breath.

"Well why would you care? You don't know me. I'm just some stranger with no importance." He snapped at me.

"Well maybe if you opened up you wouldn't be a stranger. You same interesting and I know there is more to you. I want to know it, not to sound creepy or anything. You wouldn't have caught my eye if other wise." I blurted out.

"Mitchell Donald Ralph Hughes. You?" He smiled, extending his hand across the table.

I shook it, "Aubry Lisette Winters." Then I smiled. "So Mitchell, would you like to explore Montreal with me?"

He laughed lightly. "How about I show you around it. I've lived here for a long time."

"Speaking of time and things or that essence. How old are you?"

"28. You?" He replied.

"23." He didn't seem to mind. He just smiled.

"I'm used to having friends of all ages, I mean well I was." His grinned.

"Well I guess I'm your friend now, too!"

We got up from the seats and walked out of the cafe.

"So Mitchell Hughes, tell me about yourself."

"You can just call me Mitch. I'm not that interesting, just your average 28 year old."

"Well what about your family and friends, what are they like?" I questioned.

"My Family is nice, normal. I have a younger sister and brother. My parents are normal as well."

"What about your friends?"

He took a sip of his coffee, "to much to tell you about. Enough about me. What about you? Family? Job? Where you actually live."

"Well my family is back home in Pennsylvania, I'm the middle child of five. I have an older brother and sister, who are tiwns, and two younger brothers. My parents are normal I guess. As for my job, I guess you haven't heard of me because in the U.S. I'm a singer. World-wide singer actually. I live in L.A." I explained.

"So you are like famous?"

I shrugged, "Yeah I guess."

He just smiled. We kept walking down the street. It was towards fall so Montreal was cold.

"So um do you want to go and chill back at my place? My room-mate might be home but he shouldn't be a problem." Mitch suggested.

Its risky. I ended up say yes and we walked to a neighborhood of town houses. It was a good size from the out side.

We walked up the steps to his place. He jumbled with his keys until he found the right one and opened the door. A smell of pumpkin pie and other fall smells smacked me in the face.

"Emily must be here." He stated. As I walked in I heard foot steps of two people. Then they came around the corner.

"This is Aubry, my new friend."
