We chatted for a good 3 hours, we even exchanged phone numbers. We did that until it starts to get dark. "Oh, look at the time, sis!" I look at the clock on the wall. "Yep, I better get back to my apartment. "You have an apartment?" Karin asked. "Yeah, wanna come for a sleepover tonight?" She hesitates. "Umm... sure. I just have to get conformation by my parents. Actually... maybe just Dad... not mom." I start laughing. "Mom... that sounds funny!" She looks confused. "Uh... it's how everybody says it around here." I say it a few times. "I say mum. Not mom." She looks satisfied. "Ok, Midori!" I start to wonder about what mum and dad are like. So I decide to ask. "What are mum and dad like? Why didn't you want mum to find out about the sleepover?" She hesitates. "Dad is pretty much bossed around by mom. And mom... can get pretty angry." I am surprised. "Wow... I didn't expect my family to be like that." Karin gets ready to go. "Well, that's just how it is. Anyways, see you at your apartment! Send me the address!" She opens the door to leave. "Will do!" I reply.
