The new history teacher was hell. Even though Mr. Whitman wasn't the nicest teacher he still managed to make history and english kind of fun. The new one was no other but Giordano AKA Pluffylips.
I looked at my classmates who stared like a startled bunny to the man standing in front of the blackboard. Everybody, except for my perfect cousin Charlotte who was smiling to our teacher.  I almost couldn't hold the laughter rising in my throat, I had to put my flexed index finger between my teeth to stop myself from making the greatest mistake.
Giordano, who had chosen a very fancy suit and had styled his hair in a quite abstract shape, looked disapprovingly around the class until he saw  Charlotte. When he spotted me he made a disgusted face and sighed rising his hands in desperate motion. I felt a grin spreading over my lips even though I wasn't in the mood.
"I guess I should present myself in the first place" he finally sighed "I am Giordano.  Just Giordano. Qualified historian, famous fashion designer, Reiki master, creative jewelry designer, well-known choreographer, Adept-" he quickly pressed his lips together and fortunately skipped the part of being part of a secret Loge for time-travelers " a- and that's it."
Most of the people in my class looked at each other with a confused look but didn't say anything.
"He wears a ring, I bet that he's gay too." Gordon squeaked not very quietly.
Giordano glared at him purple faced. But Gordon didn't look quite bothered he just leaned back into his chair and looked defiantly to the teacher. This staring match was broken when Charlotte started to speak.
"So what are we going to learn today Giordano?"
He relaxed and looked at my cousin composing is features.
"Today we'll start with the late eighteenth century."
I cringed innerly and sighed.
"Is something wrong miss Shepherd?"
I wish I hadn't gone to school today.

The day bettered when we went to the cafeteria. Today we had one of the few things beside pancakes that were edible: mac'n cheese.
Leslie and me, and recently Raphael too, were eating our macaroni while talking about things that happened that morning.
"Was I the only one or is our new teacher a little too skilled?" Raphael wondered "I was kind of shocked when he started listing them" Leslie chuckled when he said that.
"You know what, he works for the Loge." I wondered what he was doing here. Maybe they fired him. At that thought I smiled, perhaps the day wouldn't be as bad as I expected it to be.
My friends were stunned, eventually they gave me a sympathetic look.
"Poor Gwenny" Leslie hugged me.
"I don't know how you still haven't gone crazy with that man. This class has already taken a big chunk of my sanity."
He was right, the first class had been horrible. He treated us like children speaking extremely slow and explaining everything twice, putting his head in his hands every time we didn't answer well. Only Charlotte seemed to know enough. She was smiling her Mona Lisa smile the whole time. Sometimes she would turn and look at me with an expression saying that I should have known the answer.

When the school bell rang I went to the lockers taking everything I needed out leaving the things I didn't. Leslie was already waiting, smiling comfortingly. She knew that today Gideon and I would have to answer all the questions the guardians would make us.
Together we walked out of the school and around the corner where the limousine should have been parked. Instead there was a red mini and leaning at the door was Gideon. I quickly hugged my friend and then turned walking toward him as I felt my lips curving into a smile. He smiled back and I jogged the last two meters into his arms.
"I missed you" I muffled into his shoulder. While I heard  Cynthia gasping and sensed Charlottes eyes glaring at me.
He kissed me on the forehead and then on my mouth. I forgot everything and leaned further into the kiss. I nibbled at his lower lip and he shivered slightly. His hand went down to my waist while his other was resting below my ear stroking my neck. He started parting my lips, reinforcing the kiss. Slowly we separated.
It took me a while to remember we were on the street and blushed. Gideon saw it and laughed softly. I was really happy Xemerius went home to sleep after he ate Darth Vader' ghost (or the Conte di Madrone's). I could already imagine his reaction.
I smiled sheepishly and got into the car. When he was inside I asked him why Mr. Marley didn't pick us up with the limousine and why Charlotte wasn't here too.
"Well I convinced uncle Falk to let me pick you up and Charlotte isn't here because she isn't really needed right now. You know, no soirées and no balls to attend" he answered smirking. "Also, we'll have to meet with guardians in the dragon hall to tell them about... um well everything we kept secret."
"Oh god, I forgot we don't have anything to do know. No missions, no creepy counts with creepy friends..." I was a little sad, it was actually funny on the soirée and the ball, well except being stabbed and dying but in the end it was pretty cool.
"So what are we going to say? I mean should we tell them everything or keep a few things to ourselves? I don't think they'd be very pleased to hear that I had a key to sneak out of the chronograph room." I added.
"Yeah maybe we shouldn't, we'll see what they are going to ask us."

When we arrived I felt a wet pair of arms around my neck.
"Are you guys going to hunt a few more traitors or what?"
Xemerius took his arms from my shoulders and fluttered in front of me.
"Guess who our new history teacher is."
"I hope it's not Mr. Whitman's, pardon, the Count of Saint Germain's ghost."
"Are you talking to me Gwenny?"
"Er...well to both of you." He looked at me confused. "You remember when I told I could see ghosts?"
"And DEMONS!"
"And demons" I added.
"In the chapel?" He frowned "yes I do but I thought you were drunk."
"Well I was but that was true. I see demons and ghosts".
"Really? Sounds exciting."
"Well sometimes it is sometimes it's not, it depends on who it is."
"So you were saying?"
"Oh right! Our new teacher is no one but our beloved Giordano."
Xemerius spat water.
"Pluffylip? Hahahaha!"
"Really? Giordano? That must be boring."
"It is. Look there's Mr. George." I waved and he waved back smiling. I always found the man comforting with his smile and round shape.

We walked up to him and he greeted us. He told us we were going to the dragon hall so we could all talk about what had happened the last two weeks.
At the time we arrived all guardians were assembled. We took place on he sofa under the mermaid carving. The others sat on the armchairs next to us.
Dr. White was the first who talked.
"Well I first wanted to apologize, I am sorry for thinking lesser of you and not trusting you. You sure are a brave and smart girl".
"Um well it's alright."
"So I would really like to konow how you are still alive regarding you were dead"
"Okay," I glanced at Gideon who squeezed my hand "there it goes. Well, as you know I am the daughter of two time-travelers. Due to this fact we think that I kind of mutated and that I am immortal."
They were all silent considering what I just said.
"Well that's really interesting" said Mr. George.

I hope you like it so far.
Please review when you feel like it, I'd really appreciate it ;)
BTW I used the original name instead of the english version one. So Gwendolyn is Gwyneth (I wonder why it was changed).
