"Sweetheart!" Harry called as he sat down stairs, watching the TV with Chris lazily draped over his lap. "You've got homework!"
"Daddy," Ella's whining voice came as she trudged down the stairs, "Can I play for 5 more minutes?"
"Ella, you've said that already and it's been half an hour," Chris said, looking over at his daughter who pouted, "You need to do your homework one day."
"But Louis just arrived to my tea party!" Ella cried and Harry perked up, then sighed and pushed Chris off him before walking to Ella who was stood at the doorway, tiara tangled in her curly hair and a teddy bear pressed to her chest.
"Let's go do your homework in your room then," Harry reached out and picked up Ella, holding her at his hip as he walked up the stairs, "Be right back back, babe!"
Chris hummed, now engrossed in the show on the television.
"Your teacher said you need to learn all of your ABC's by this month, you've only gotten up to L," Harry scolded as he took Ella to her bedroom, setting her on her bed.
"I can get to M now, Daddy," Ella said and stood up proud as she put her hand on her chest, closing her eyes and began to recite the alphabet.
It went like that for quite a while.
"No," Harry pinched the bridge of his nose, this was Ella's sixth go, "J comes after I."
"This is too hard," Ella stropped, going back and sitting herself at the round table with the rest of her toys, picking up her teacup in the most elegant manner, "ABC's don't matter if I'm going to be a princess."
Harry groaned, rubbing his face as he watched his daughter laughing and having a very modern conversation with her dolls on the hottest gossip at nursery.
"I still don't know my ABC's," Harry heard a voice and he whipped his head around to see Louis sat opposite Ella, a teacup in his hand as he pretend to sip the nonexistent tea.
"And look where you are now," Harry sighed, "Ella, if you don't get a good education then you will turn out like your fath- y-your friend over here."
Harry began to feel hot as he turned around, busying himself with cleaning up Ella's already tidy desk. The desk she barely used but both parents thought it was vital and it didn't hurt to start early.
"Father," Louis corrected, knowing Harry's stuttering was because of that accidental word slip.
Louis could read minds.
Unfortunately, Harry didn't know this fact.
So, Louis took it to the best of his advantage.
"Naughty," Louis whispered, directly behind Harry now, "How are you thinking about such dirty things when someone so young is in the room?"
Harry blushed harder, covering his face, "I-I wasn't th-thinking of anything!"
"Sure," Louis sighed, sarcasm thick in his voice as he sat back down in front of Ella, "Now, did you know I was the CEO of a very large business and was on every magazine and poster."
"Then he ended up being on a Wanted poster," Harry rolled his eyes and Louis scowled.
"Don't listen to him," Louis told Ella while she giggled, "Anyways, that's how me and your father met."
Louis smiled proudly and then looked at Harry with loving eyes.
Harry's heart was beating so fast as Louis' eyes locked with his.
