I couldn't help but stare in admiration as he walked to his stool and sat down.
My breath hitched as he picked up the guitar. He began to strum a soft melody, one that I have not heard before.
He started to sing. His voice was like honey, mixed with a bit of gravel.
Maybe it's the wind
Maybe it's my shadow
I can't tell if she loves me
Is this all a show?
Then write up a cast
For my broken heart
And if I mess up have me do it over from the start...My ears tuned out the song as I gazed at his smile. He had the most dazzling smile.
Soon after he finished, I found myself clapping. He turned quickly. "Who's there?".
I almost smacked myself after I released a loud squeak.
"U-um, this isn't the girls bathroom?", I chuckled nervously. He smiled, "I sure hope not".
"You're voice is amazing", I said hurriedly as the bell rang. He began to stand.
"Thanks, stalker", he said playfully. He tried to offer me his hand, but he held it out in the wrong direction.
I laughed softly, "Nice to meet you, I'm Jasmine". "I think stalker suits you better", he whispered.
I took his hand and shook it.
"I'm Theo", he said grinning. Gosh, his smile is amazing.
Quickly, students entered the classroom.
"Hey!", I heard a person yell. "Looks like Bat here got a little friend!", I heard giggles around me. I turned to the students and rolled my eyes.
"Bat, how clever, what grade are we in? Third grade?", I said shakily, "I mean you have the intelligence of a third grader, so it's not a surprise when that's as creative as it gets, maybe while you try struggling to get the good grades yoy obviously don't want, you can get a life".
I gasped loudly.
"Thanks", I heard from beside me. I turned to Theo. I look to the ground only to notice we're now holding hands. I dropped them quickly, and sighed.
"No problem", I patted his shoulder.
Wot even is this?
