In small-town Ligonier, PA, a 17-year-old Macey Blair, with soft brown hair that falls into soft waves, has been consumed with the thought with what she will be become in the near future, as senior in high school, she needs to figure out soon. But she did have one thing in mind, Broadway. More than anything she loved to dance but without the approval of her loving parents, it would get her nowhere. But not only this, she is constantly reminding herself with the fact that she'll probably be living by herself. She can't have a pet in the apartments, and she wouldn't have enough time for that pet anyways, and as car as she's concerned, she's far far away from any relationship.
But what she doesn't know, is in this little quiet town, she'll have more than she could have ever bargained for.
On a sleepy Sunday, with the dawn's rays tickling the sprowting grass of her parents back yard, her alarm sounded as cried prying her from her sleep. She groaned but rolled out of bed, unwillingly of course. She pulled on her burnt orange sweater with a pair of black jeans and some vans. And she did what she would do any other morning of that sleep my Sunday, she applied her mascara drove to school in her small car, and went to all of her classes. But in 6th period science, little did she know there was going to be a new kid at school.
"Ok everyone quiet down so I can call role." Mr. Troucher said drowsily, "Abbey Anderson, Leah Andrews," the sleepy voice drowned out pushed back into Maceys mind, focusing on what was this boy's name, and not going to lie, her and I both know he was cute. "Crystal Beemer, Chase Coher," and finally Macey heard the sound of his voice, smooth as honey spill form his lips, "Finally," she thought, "a boy in this school who's attractive,"
"Macey... Macey... Macey Blair?"
"Oh uh, sorry I'm here" Macey said when her trance was finally broken, that was the first time yet that she had made eye contact with any other person then Chase. " So the assignment today will be done with partners, Macey, since your table partner Samuel, moved, Chase will be your new table partner. Besides the point that Chase was obviously attractive and seemed smart, Samuel wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, it you know what I mean, and he was just weird, and not in a good way either...
As Chase picked up his bags and moved to his new permanent seat, he began to engage in a light conversation, "So how's it goin'" his voice, once again reminded Macey of thick honey,
"Really well actually, you? Oh, and where are you from?"
"Well that's good, ima actually from a small town in Washington, all the way across the country, but if I'm being completely honest, I'm glad we left."
"Whys that?" She responded now eager that he at least wanted to talk to her,
"I don't know, I've always lived in that small town it grew boring, and I couldn't stand the people," he chuckled softly. But Macey, Macey is the complete opposite, she let her loud and bubbly laugh escape form her mouth, probably making Chase wonder what he was getting himself into. "Anyways, I've always lived here, but I love it here not going to lie, I hope you like it here as much as I do," Their conversation continued for the entire extent of the class until the bell sounded dismissing all the kids into their last class period, "Tomorrow?""Tomorrow." Macey replied calmly.
