Now onto the second character of this story. Chase Cohen. A handsome young man who was new to this school. He had the deepest shade of blue eyes and choppy brown hair. He had fine smile lines around his mouth, and man oh man those dimples could kill a man. But what people didn't know, and probably couldn't guess from his looks. He was abused at home, each dark memory of life was filled with stinging slaps across the face or a knee to the gut. I guess you could say he was his mom's punching bag. 3 years ago when his dad died do to Non-Hodgins Lymphoma, a cancer that eats away at your white blood cells making even a common cold devastating, ever since then his mom's bubbly personality disappeared within a combination of tobacco, alcohol, pills, and unknown drugs, really anything she could get her hands on. Her once radiant skin now infested with premature wrinkles and the rosy color drained from her face. She wasn't who she used to be. But instead of this taking a toll on Chase's life, he made a positive one out of it. He knew what he was going to do when he left high school. He was going to become a FBI officer, so he could help others in danger. He was built for it, and he had the passion to do it.
That morning when he rolled out of bed to hear the fridge door slam, probably his mom getting drunk at 5 in the morning, Chase got in the shower thinking about what the first day would be like. Until his thoughts were shattered by the noise of the noise of glass shattering on the floor. Quickly Chase got up and our of the shower only having a pair of pants that he somehow fit on, and ran out of his room to see his mom in the bathroom, where she punched yet another mirror. "I can't blame her," he thought to himself, "I would hate the way I looked too." And with that he walked back into his room to get dressed and shrugged his shoulders.
On the first day of school, a Wednesday in November, he stared at his schedule wondering what class he had next. When a girl with wavy hair walked into the classroom. "Who's that?" He wondered, no longer worried with his upcoming classes. When he heard a voice that lacked emotion, and his trance was ripped away from the girl.
After what seemed like hours had past, he finally got his place in the seating chart. "Chase Cohen, you'll sit next to Macey Blair," Chase, since he didn't pay attention to role call, had no idea who this Macey girl was, until he saw the girl with vibrant eyes and wavy hair come sit down next to him with a smile on her face. "Hi there Macey, I'm Chase." Macey already knowing who this stranger was she replied simply with a toothy grin, "Hello chase, so how are you liking it here?"
"It's really small... I'm so used to my old town but I like this one so much more!" And they're conversation continued, and they never stopped smiling, they just laughed and talked despite what the teacher had to say.

The bell chimed through the empty school halls, lunch finally. And, what seemed like in unison, the doors opened and out came chatty teenagers. "Ok since I know absolutely nobody here, do you want to hang out with me at lunch and not make me look like a complete loser," he chuckled looking at Macey.
"I would love to!" She said the apples of her cheeks flushed with pink.I hope I'm actually doing and ok job at portraying these characters the way I imagined them... I know I'm not a great writer but I'm trying😄I hope you love this!
