Things change

You know they used to tell me I'd stay the same
Stuck in the same life with you
But now I realize that you aren't over me
That ill never have a chance to say I do
That I'll never be easy to hold
Never easy to write out of your story
That you'll never be close to understanding,
I could never love a man like you

You'll never have a chance to say
Loving me isn't easy
But I guess you aren't the usual man
I put all my cards on the table
And you cheated your hand
I guess I'm loosing my mind over you
But you tend to say your loosing it too

It used to be that we were fighting our battles together
But it seems to that you have taken a whole new aim
A whole new aim with your gun pointed right at me
And I know this isn't easy
But I'm dying with you tossing all your blame

They say I'll always be the same
A small town girl falling in love with a boy twice my age
Well it isn't the love story I've always wanted
But at least I have one.
