I swiftly grab the branch above me and fling myself up to the top. I smirked.

"I'm not that dumb, Carl." I scoffed.

"Well you scared me. Don't do that ever ever ever ever again!" He said.

"Don't do what? You mean this?" I said and jumped. I caught myself and swung to another branch.

I hear a growl and turn to see a- a- thing going for Carl.

I take a deep breath and aim.

"Please. Don't hurt me!" Carl whimpered.

I decided to pretend I was aiming for him. The thing wasn't that close.

"I'm sorry. Two of us just won't do. There can only be one, Carl. Only one, and that's me." I said.

"Please Bailey! I love you so much! I'll be extra nice! Anything!" He said.

"Hm.....Nope. Won't do. Remember, only one!" I said and evilly laughed.

I aimed once again.

"Goodbye."

*BOOOM!*

Carl was on the ground, clutching his stomach. I didn't. I couldn't have... Did I?

"ERRRRARRRRRGEEEEEEEAHHHHHHHHERRRRRRAHHHHHHHH!" I screamed. I walked away, and watched.

Mom emerged. Carl got up and dusted himself off.

"Hey mom!" He said.

I walked out.

"Hi, mom!" I said.

A man kissed her cheek.

"I'm Shane." He said, sticking out his hand.

"Bailey." I spat and turned.

"Bailey!" Mom scolded. I walked up to Shane and pulled him down to my size by his shirt collar.

"Listen here, Shane, you can't replace my dad and never will. So dream on, but I will always hate you." I said.

His eyes widened.

"Little brat." He whispered. He acted like he tripped and then 'accidentally' slapped my face.

"What was that for?!" I asked him. He shrugged.

"Tripped." He grunted.

"You will never replace my dad, and I hope you rot in hell." I said and walked off.

I came across a man with a bow gun thing. I sniffed.

"Hi." I said. He looked at me.

"Hi." He replied.

"Daryl."

"Bailey Elizabeth." I said.

He ran a hand softly over my cheek.

"What happened here?" He asked. I looked at my feet.

"There was this guy, Shane, and he slapped me.'' I said.

His face grew red with anger.

"Shane?!" He spat. I nodded. He bent down to my level.

"I promise, I will never let him hurt you again." He whispered and hugged me. I hugged him back and cried into his shoulder.

"Do I smell squirrel?" I asked. He laughed and held up a bunch of dead squirrels. I plugged my nose.

"I have some squirrel for you, for me, and my brother, Merle." He said. I smiled.

We walked into a camp.

"Merle!" He shouted. "Where are ya? I got some squirrel!" He yelled. A man came forward.

"Merle's gone." He said.

"WHAT?!" Daryl yelled.

He pointed to a shadow of a man.

"Go talk to him. He's the one who handcuffed him." The man said.

I squeezed Daryl's hand and we walked over to the man who handcuffed Merle.

"Where is he?!" Daryl shouted.

The man turned around.

"Dad." I whispered. I gave him a humongous hug.

"Daddy I missed you so much!" I said.

"Bailey." He said happily.

I walked back over to Daryl and slipped my hand back in his.

"Dad, where's Merle?" I asked.
