30 years ago, an unknown disaster, known as a "spatial quake", rocked the Eurasian continent claiming the lives of 150 million people. And since the disaster, spatial quakes were becoming a common occurrence, but only small and not seriously catastrophic since the last major one 30 years ago.
Present time
Yamamoto Residence
A young man, aged 15, named Raymond Yamamoto, awakes from his slumber and sees his little sister, age 14, stare at him. "Get up, you baka!" She is shorter than Raymond with blonde hair, wearing a schoolgirl outfit. "If I miss Kotori at our hangout, I will never forgive you." "Calm down, you little tsundere. I am up." Raymond said groggily. "Rae Yamamoto, I will never understand you." Raymond said to himself. Rae was in the kitchen watching TV about the report of a recent spatial quake that was close to where they lived. "Sometimes the spatial quakes are like the tornadoes in the midwestern United States." Rae said. "Well, Rae, they both leave disaster in their wakes. What do you want for breakfast?" Raymond asked. "Waffles!" She shouted happily. "Waffles coming right up." He sets up the toaster and sets two glasses of orange juice.
