(This chapter is based on one POV)

Tyler

I woke up in the middle of the night, as I did every night. I sighed, as I hugged myself. I realized something. Destiny wasn't on top of me anymore. I looked at the floor and she was there. I smiled, and picked her up. She looked peaceful and I laid her on my spot of the bed. I went down the hall, feeling quite hungry. I opened the fridge and saw something I wanted. A honeybun.

I grabbed it in delight and took a bite. It filled my mouth with a delicious glaze, and I felt my body tingle. I smiled and wolfed down the rest. I walked into the bathroom, and looked at the mirror. I looked sleepy and I looked terrible. I caught a glimpse of the past events.

I saw Mauricio getting shot. I saw my first kiss with Destiny. I also saw the days Noel, Mauricio, and I were in 8th grade. I squinted into the mirror as if I could see deeper into the past. I sighed, I'm losing my mind.

I dived into the couch, not feelings sleepy at all. I started to wonder, out of the blue, do Mauricio and Andreana like each other? I laughed, knowing that they did. I saw it. I flipped on the TV and watched something on the Discovery Channel about bears. I stared at the TV and smiled, bears are awesome. I frowned, Am I high? I laughed out loud and shut my mouth. I looked back at the TV and it was a bear eating a fish. I leaned against the arm of the couch. "Enjoying yourself?" A voice asked.

I turned around and saw Andreana, I sighed, "Girl, I was almost about to throw an object at you."

She cocked an eyebrow, "What item?"

I squinted at her, "Don't test me. Any item that I touched first. Anyways, did you have a bad dream?"

She frowned at me, "Stop that."

I smiled, "Stop what? Being sexy? I can't, I'm sorry. I can make an ugly face if you want."

She shook her head, smiling, "Oh whatever. What are you even doing up?"

"Uh, I always wake up in the middle of the night. And then I start seeing images," I sighed. "I think I'm going insane."

She stifled a laughed, "Why am I not suprised."

I threw a pillow at her, playfully, "Oh shut up. Sooo I see you starting to like Mauricio!"

She blushed, "N-n-no. What ever do you mean?"

I rolled my eyes, Liar. "Stop lying! I know you do! CONFESS!" I started laughing, and then I smiled, "I'm kidding. Do you like Mauricio, honestly?"

She fidgeted, "Y-yes. I think I might even be falling for him."

I smiled, "Remember back when we were kids? And you fell for that-guy-who's-name-must-not-be-spoken? And I said, 'You might fall in love all over again but with someone new.' And guess what? I was right!" I walked over to her and she looked suprised. I kneeled down and picked the pillow up and walked back to the couch. "What? I wasn't proposing. Not that early."

She rolled her eyes, "Oh shut up! I already knew you weren't going to do that."

I looked up at the ceiling, thoughtfully, "You're right. I'd probably rush it."

She walked over and hit me, softly, "Whatever!"

I smiled and for once, I didn't feel like I did when Destiny was gone. I felt happy.

We stayed up all night and through the early morning, talking. Talking about how are lives have evolved over the course of several years. We walked out the house, early. Before anyone else woke up. We walked over to Starbucks and got some frappuccino and a mocha.

We left Starbucks and waited at the light. She bumped me while I sipped my frappuccino and some of the whipped cream got on my nose. I laughed and she took it off with her finger and licked it.

I smiled and squinted at her, "Hey, now! I have a girlfriend! And you have a... soon to be boyfriend!"

She smiled at me, and ran after me when I took off, "Hey! Get back here!" I could've easily ran away from her but I slowed down and let her catch me.

"Hey! Cut that out! I'm ticklish! MEEEEEEEEEEEEP!" I laughed while she was tickling me and I jumped away.

"Now, did you learn your lesson?" She asked me. It was tempting to say no, but I didn't want to be tickled.

"Yes, ma'am. I am very sorry. It won't happen again," I replied.

"Good," she said. "You are one of a kind."

"No shit! I am Tyler. THE Tyler. That popular kid in Agassiz who attracted all the ladies. Well.... a few anyway," I told her.

"Yeah like those 6th g-," Andreana started before I cut her off.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever, just shut the fuck up about that," I exhaled. "AND IT WAS ONLY 2!" I ran into a person. I fell into a puddle of my frappiccino, I sighed.

"Dude, I'm sorry about that," I said and looked over. It wasn't a guy. It was a girl.

She was pretty tall for a girl, but not taller than me. She was probably about 3 inches shorter than me. She had dark brown hair, light brown eyes, and rosy lips. I started sweating.

"Oh u-uh. S-sorry about that, ma'am. Are you okay?" I asked her, stuttering.

She laughed, "I'm fine. Hey did you say you go to Agassiz?"

I nodded. She smiled, "I used to go there back in grammar school. What year?"

I smiled, "Girl! I am THE class of 2014! The best class there ever was at that school. How about you?"

She laughed, "Class of 2015." I realized with a shock, that person was in the same class Andreana was in when she graduated from Agassiz.

Andreana grew a quizzical expression, "Huh. Same year I graduated. We were in the same class. What's your name?"

She smiled, "My name is Ivana Lopez."

I leaned my head back, with my goofiest look, "No! Get out of here! Really?"

She nodded, "Yeah."

Andreana smiled, "I"m Andreana Lugo! Remember me, girl?!" They both giggled and hugged like little school girls. I rolled my eyes.

"Uh, well. It's nice to see you again, but we have to get back to the house before they wake up," I told her.

Ivana raised an eyebrow. I hated that, I couldn't do it but they both could, "Are you guys married?"

I pointed to Andreana, "To her? Nah. She'd probably beat my brains out if I asked."

Andreana smiled, "Ah, we're just friends."

Ivana laughed, "Oookay? Well it's nice seeing you guys again!" She gave her number to us and dashed away.

"Well that was weird. It's a small world," I said, putting my hands behind my head. "Who knew that we'd see her again?"

Andreana shivered, "I dunno. It's weird."

I smiled, "Yeah it is. I mean, you'd think everyone we know would've moved out of Chicago."

Andreana nodded, "I had the chance to move out of Chicago, but I decided to stay. I'm glad I made that choice."

I looked over at her, "Are you flirting right now?"

Andreana pushed me, softly, "No! I am just saying, I missed you and Mauricio a lot. I dunno about Noel, though.

I nodded, "Yeah, Noel was the little Man-Whore back then. He's comitted nowadays."

She smiled, "It's nice to meet old and new friends."

I laughed, "Sure is."
