Life I was told, is never simple; it’s a series of ups and downs but it seemed as though I had found myself at a constant, the same old thing everyday. I despised it and every damned morning I dreaded the thought of getting up just to carry out the same routine, I longed for something to break the stand still my life had found itself. I had begun my usual walk towards school, making the left and then right onto Picket Lane just before crossing into the school parking lot right as the light turned red at exactly 7:12 every morning. It went as things should, how they always did. I zig zagged through the maze of cars towards the main entrance consciously avoiding the dealers of my grade. As I had mentioned, until this point my life had been a constant and usually by this time, 7:16 to be exact I would be opening up the door but today that didn’t happen, instead my boring immutable life had been thrown off its course by a clumsy dirty blonde boy who couldn’t figure out the brakes on his bike.
