Change (On Hold)

The Beginning part 2

"Ok the coast is clear, you're safe" Zack finally speaks after what felt like hours of staring at each other.
"Did he follow me?" I thought, still lost in his eyes. Then realizing the death grip he had on my waist. I tried wiggling out of his grip but he held me in place, loosening his grip a bit.

" what are you doing? how did you find me?" I asked , putting my hands on his chest to try and put space between us but that was a bad idea, I hesitated as I felt the muscle underneath his shirt. Taking this to advantage he pulled me closer, crushing me into another hug and leaning into my ear to whisper

" It doesn't matter how I found you, what matters is that you're safe and that will not let anyone hurt you. Understand?" he said while squashing me against him even more. Shocked, all I could was shake my head in response.

'whats up with him? he has never even acknowledged my existence before and now he cares all of a sudden? somethings up here, i gotta get out of here' I thought to myself  

After being hit with realisation, I wiggled my way out of his arms and took 10 steps back.
"S- sorry, I have to go Elizabeth is waiting for me" I start running away but is stopped by a hand gripping my wrist.
" be careful, you never know what's out there... so please just be careful, because if I find out you got hurt somehow" he pulls me closer to whisper in my ear

"I'll punish you" he almost growls at me but soon releases me.

"b-bye" was all I could get out before running away.

I made it home with my face still on fire from the earlier events.
I slam the door closed and lean against it. My mum comes rushing from the kitchen.
"Bell? You okay?"
"What, yep I'm fine. Totally fine"
"Are you sure? Your face is red. Do you have a fever?" She start making her way over to me
" Mum I'm fine honestly. I've gotta go do my homework now ok?" I say rushing past and up the stairs, not giving her time to reply.

I been home for about 5 hours now when the doorbell rang. My mum went to see who it was.
"Oh Elizabeth? Why are you here so late?"
" Oh I umm got some school stuff to give to Bell. Is it alright for me to give it her?"
" yeah, of cause. Go on up sweetheart, Bell should be in her room."
Moments later Elizabeth enters my room with a suspicious looking bag in her hand.
" Hey what's up? What you got in the bag?"
"Drugs, what else?" I gave her my 'are you serious look'
" Ok, ok chill I found some really cool books you might like. The knife of never letting Go, Bullseye and the gone series." She explained
"Really!? You found them yay. I wanted them books for ages. Thanks"
I say getting up to hug her. While hugging her I feel her tense.
"Hey, you okay?"
"Y-yes, w-why?"
"You seem tense is all" I reply
"Well I'm fine. I gotta go bye"

"That was strange, she usually stays. What's going on with her?" I thought to myself while sneaking out of my window and onto the grass to follow her.

It's been about 10 minutes since Elizabeth left my house, with me secretly following behind her, and we're going in a completely different direction from her house. It's pitched black now  I can see the entrance to the forest up ahead.

"Why is she going into the forest at this time of time. No scratch that why would she ever go into that forest?"

While I was off in my own world, I realised that Elizabeth was nowhere to be found and I had wondered deep into the forest, lost.

I decided to ring Elizabeth to see where she was.

Ri-
She cut the call.

"That little b-" I say under my breath but being cut off by the sound of thunderingfoot steps coming from behind me. Sensing danger, my adrenaline kicked in. Sprinting as fast as I can in the other direction when I came to a halt. The danger I thought was chasing me was  in front of me. Screaming, I stumbling  backwards but I'm stopped again by a hot breathe fanning on the back of my neck. Before I can get away a strong hand grasps my arm and pulls me into their chest.
"You smell nice little one" the deep, dark voice hums in my ear.
"W- who are you?" I ask while trying to pull my arm from their grip but they only tighten it making me nearly scream from  the pain.
"WHO ARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I shout into the darkness ahead still unable to see their face but sensing the smirk on their face.
"Who am I? That doesn't matter. What do i want? You, I want you, your blood." He spoke low, letting me know he is a man.
Before he could sink his teeth into my neck there's a growl from ahead.
" Daniel Stop!, leave the girl out of it" said an unfamiliar voice.
"  No! I don't want to, I'm hungry"
