Prologue

"Please! Just let me go!", he pleaded as he struggled on the chair, trying to set himself free. His wrists were tied to the back of the chair as his legs were tied to its legs.

A guy, with a tattoo of a blade that was dripping with blood on the right side of his neck, circled around him as he was sharpening a knife with another knife. He had this very dangerous aura surrounding him. Not that I could sense it but--- Oh, nvm.

He laughed. "Oh, professor James Harris. You never fail to amuse me."

James gritted his teeth. "What do you want?!", he shouted.

"Oh, I think you know what I want.", he said, an evil grin appearing on his face. "I want the key to The Vault."

"I don't have it!", James glowered at him.

The guy's eyebrows shot up in mock surprise as his evil little grin never faded away from his face. "Oh, do you, now? Well, I guess you know where it is then, don't you?" He continued circling James as he talked.

"What makes you think I'll even tell you?", James said confidently. He wasn't afraid to die. As long as his only son was safe, he'd be able to die in peace.

The guy laughed bitterly. The kind of laugh that sends chills down your spine. In a very bad way. He stopped in front of the professor as he put the flat side of the knife under James's chin.

"How would you like to have a knife through your throat now, huh?", He said, still smiling evilly.

James gulped. But he built up his courage & said, "Pl-lease! I won't tell you even if we were the last two people on Earth. And to survive, WE had to know the key to The Vault. And stop speaking in that condescending manner. It gives me the creeps."

The guy burst into laughter. He sighed. "Oh, professor. Even in this atmosphere, you find the time to joke around." He wiped a tear at the corner of his eye.

"Unfortunately, you are useless & worthless, so I'm afraid that I have to kill you.", Tattoo guy said as he glared at James.

"Who are you?", James asked. "And who are you working for?"

"No, no, professor. The question is, WHO are those working for ME?", he smirked villainously as he took the knife away from the prof's chin & proceeded to get a gun. "Call me 'Ezriel Blade'."

James eyes widened. 'Ezriel Blade'.

And at that very moment, the door swung open. James & Tattoo Guy looked behind them to see a few of James's friends and other agents that had come to his rescue. James smiled at them for he knew what was going to happen.

"Tch!", Ezriel Blade said. And as he was about to leave, he shot James Harris, world-renowned professor. Who had a son that was in great danger. A son who was the key to The Vault. And as he was dying, he went to a flashback.

*Flashback*

Ding Dong!

7-year-old Nick Harris answered the door. 2 small figures appeared before him.

"Aiden! Lucy!", he said cheerfully. He gave them a bear hug.

"Hi, Nick!", they replied just as enthusiastically.

"Come on! Let's go inside! I have something I really wanna show you, guys.", Nick said as he ushered them to come in.

Aiden & Lucy went to Nick's room & waited patiently for their best friend for he told them to wait there.
