BRAVE

TENACIOUS

CREATIVE

HONEST

I've always wanted to write something on this topic.

I've been reading Watt Pad books since 2016.

I know that this platform comprises of young impressionable readers and writers and I'm ecstatic to see so many young people these days finding different ways to hone their creativity and how much many of us are part of great communities that help us grow.

However, what bugs me a lot is when I'm reading a book and there is a random female character and she somehow is chasing after the main character or maybe the writer tries to give that impression the way the readers in the comments behave.

They begin calling her a bitch and a hoe and other very nasty slurs that if it were said to you, you'd feel like shit or worse. And most of the times it's the female readers.

(Just to be clear here I'm not talking about characters in books calling other characters these words. Book are reflections of real life and how people behave. Also it's also a way to see the world through the eye of another person)

You may just say 'oh but it's just a character in a book' yes that's right but start here and soon it spreads to someone on another platform on the internet and then to real life.

Why is it that when it's another female character who is either trying to get the boy or girl she is a bitch or a hoe or something evil. And let me tell you, half the time she doesn't even know that the main character is in a relationship.

But the thing about it is that this also happens in real life. When a partner cheats the girlfriend goes to beat up or hate on the other woman when they should really be angry with their partner for cheating on them. Not that either of them was right to do what they did.

What I've also realized is that women and girls call themselves these harsh words then turn around and want to blame men for having them this way.

I'm sorry to break it to you this way honey but it's all on you. Don't blame it on anyone else. Look within yourself.

Was it really worth it that you made another woman feel less than herself, no matter how tough she seemed to take it she probably went home and cried herself to sleep questioning why or what she did wrong?

Half the time it's all jealousy or something irrational. At least if it's jealousy OWN UP TO IT. There is nothing bad in feeling jealous, it's a natural human thing to feel this way at times or at one point in your life.

Now as much as this is that 90% of the time girls do this to girls, it doesn't give anyone the right to do this to a man either. For even men are very sensitive and may even be more sensitive than you in some ways. At the end of the day we are all human with feelings and have struggles on a daily basis just like the other person.

You can try your best to use the understanding that you have acquired to convert that slur you were about to say to someone and instead spread positivity as much as you can. There will always be that one nasty person but you have to look past their behavior perhaps they went through experiences that caused them to be this way and they don't know how to deal with it.

Sometimes I put myself in people's shoe and sometimes I make mistakes but I always try my best to be that person who brings a smile to someone else's face if it means that is only a second. They could have had a worse day than mine and really needed that.

Don't be afraid to be strong and be different but always remember to be respectful.

We are trying to grow and progress not to regress.

And as always team work makes the dream work. Hopefully the world will become a better place after all we are in the age of growth and technology; what we have today our grand and great grand parents would wish for. We are privileged let's not abuse it but lets use it for the better of us all.

It's sometimes difficult for me to bring out things in the clearest way. My words seem jumbled and all over the place because my brain is like a highway and the thoughts just fly through and I have to try and hold on to each...
You know what I mean, right?
Please forgive my all&over-the-placeness
