Preface

Xena's Note: Hey, so I'll be the one to do updates once chapters are done. I hope you will enjoy Preface. Don't know when I'll be able to update the first chapter, hopefully in a week. Kira will be super busy until the weekend and I'll be busy with retyping old chapters into rough copies for her. Then, I'll go through the chapters once more, while editing before I do update the finished chapters. Well, that's all for now. It's going to be a while before Kira and I get a lot of readings or followers. Bye.

Eva's P.O.V

How am I going to face my foster parents, now? How could I go back? Back home?

I killed a man; just minutes ago. A human being, who attacked my parents and then tried to kill me. Once, I showed my power.

I stop, leaning down with my gloved hands on my knees as I took a deep breath in and exhaled; after I jumped off a huge rock.

I ran into the woods behind my house. Seconds after I drain the life energy out of that man; killing him without control.

I grab a brunch in front of me, before stepping onto another rock. Stopping once more, as I look back for the last time. "Eva, where are you?" I could barely hear my foster dad yell; from behind me in the thick woods.

'I can't go back, I can't stop', I thought, while I climb up and down rocks until I finally reached a small path that heads to a river.

After thirty seconds of running on the path, I could hear someone or something running through the trees next to me; reaching the same speed as me.

'I have no time to stop, if only I could use my power with control. I could slow them down...' I stop thinking to myself, once I saw the river ahead and the thing that was catching up to me as it ran right in front of me.

I fell onto my back, as I lost my balance. It stared right into my eyes. I froze as I focus. It was a wolf, but how?

Before I could get up, it jumped on me, knocking its head on mine. "Thank God, thank you..." I could hear my foster dad speak before I blacked out.
