It was a late autumn day when I met him. The leaves had just began turning a beautiful array of reds, oranges, and yellows. The air was beginning to have a crisp chill, smelling of falling leaves and cinnamon.
He had been in my Psychology class. I had never seen him before, not in school or around town. He was a mystery to me. One that I wouldn't be able to solve for a long time.
I remember he had sat down in a seat two down from where I was. For some odd reason, I felt this strange attraction to him. Throughout the duration of the class, I had began to sneak sideways glances towards him, hoping he wouldn't notice.
The final time I looked over at him, his eyes were piercing back towards me. Sparkling, large, brown. They whispered back the same curiosity I had been experiencing with him. His face held a look of amusement as he realized that I had been catching glances at him. With a sly grin on his face, he mouthed a simple 'Hi'.
And that was where it all started. That was the day I met Calum Hood.
