We are six months after the Fourth Great Ninja War. The shinobi alliance is stay remain and continues to consolidate their links. Sasuke Uchiha was chosen for this purpose and had be gone, travelling around the world, long trips that sometimes allowed him to get some clues about Otsutsuki's clan. Only he could not be several places at once. And that's where this new ANBU team comes in, ride by Kakashi and Sasuke.

And you will never guess who is part of it. We know him too well, and that's why we are surprised to find him here. Shikamaru Nara had joined this team. Kakashi esteem Shikamaru a lot, trusting him a lot. He was his personal adviser after all. Those three were his comrades. Not friends, but just colleagues. Anyway, Shikamaru just gives them the tactical plan, the orders, the advice and that's it. The bare essentials for team cohesion. Does he miss his old team? Sometimes they meet at Konoha and greet without much enthusiasm.
