Chapter 18: The Secret

~Dream Flashback~

No. No. I don't want this. Momma! Papa!

My eyes scanned the room. All I saw was flames. Flamed licking at the walls. I ran through the mansion. How could this have happened? How could my life suddenly have no meaning? Wait, no meaning. I'm only 9 right? No. I'm 17. Head of Cofp manor. But my parents? Suddenly Ciel's face appears. "They are dead! Hahahaha! NO MERCY!"

I grabbed my head. Noooooo leave me alone! It's a lie!! A lie!! AHHHHHHHH.

Alex jolted awake and looked around breathing heavy. Pain spiked her chest and she laid back down.

"W-where am I?" She said aloud.

Someone came out from a bathroom in the room,"Mistress it's alright. Your safe now." It was the butler Sebastian.

"S-sebastian? What happened?"Alex's face was filled with fear and Sebastian couldn't help but feel a little bit sorry for her. He had hidden the truth of Ciel and her family from her. He somehow felt guilty.

"You were injured during the fight with Alois and Leigh, remember?"Sebastian tried to hold an emotionless face.

Alex held her head trying to remember,"I.... I think so. Where is Jessica?"

Sebastian pointed to the door of Alex's room,"In her bed resting. She hasn't woken up since last night."

Alex nodded rubbing her chin,"Ok. Go check on her and let me think about somethings." Sebastian bowed and left the room. He knocked on Jessica's door.

"C-coming. Hold on."A small voice spoke from inside the door. The door slowly cracked open and Jessica's tear stained face appeared,"Y-yes?"

"Miss Jessica, are you alright? I came to check on you." Sebastian spoke with a smooth unrevealing voice.

Jessica looked at the ground and then back at Sebastian,"I-I remember everything. I must speak to Alex."

"Of course. Please get ready for breakfast and you can speak with her then." Sebastian bowed and left to get Alex ready.

~Meanwhile~

Angela woke up in a strange room that looked like a cell except it had a bed, furniture and it was very nicely decorated. She was in the bed but her leg had a chain attacked to the bed leg. She looked around to find anyone but there wasn't a soul in sight.

"Ah, I see you're awake"A voice suddenly spoke.

Angela turned her attention to the cell door to see a familiar face,"Yes. Leigh, right? Why am I here."

Leigh smirked,"Well isn't it obvious? You tried to kill us so we have to keep you confined."

"Let me out of here or your punishment will be a lot worse than it has to be!" Angela growled and yanked at the chains.

"Actually, my dear Angela, I have bigger plans for you." She took a rusted key from her pocket,"See, you are very interesting. I quite like the way you fight. You want all demons dead, I want Sebastian and Ciel dead. So, I say we work together to kill Sebastian and Ciel then you can do whatever you want with the rest of us!" Leigh waved the key in front of the cell door mockingly.

Angela stopped struggling,"You think I will help you? A demon Master? Hah! Never!"

Leigh's smirked turned into a frown,"I am offering you a very reasonable deal! You can't kill Those two imbeciles alone! So I am offering you my help! Besides," Leigh grinned toothily,"In the end you get to choose who lives and dies for the rest of us."
