John walked up to a desk to get his dorm key. In one week his classes would start, so most of the students got settled in early.
He walked to his room- room 51- only to see his friends Laf and Herc were next door.
"Hey guys!" John said.
"Hello, Laurens! Mon ami!" Laf said. "Who's your roommate?"
"I'm not sure yet. I hope I find out soon. Wanna hang later?"
"Sure thing, mon ami. Au revoir!"
John opened the door to his dorm. Another boy with black hair sat on the couch. He had long black hair pulled back into a ponytail and was wearing a sweatshirt.
The boy got up and walked to John. "Hi, you must be my roommate. I'm Alexander Hamilton, but you can call me Alex or Hamilton."
"I'm John Laurens. My friends usually call me Laurens. It's nice to meet you!"
While Alex and John packed away their things into their room, John couldn't stop blushing. I think I like him! he thought.
