- Are you feeling okay? – Toni asked giving Cheryl a cup of water

- Yeah, I'm better now, thanks T-T. – Cheryl said it gratefully taking the cup.

After the news of the black hood being caught and arrested Toni took Cheryl to her trailer since the red haired wasn't very eager to go to back to the house where that man had attacked her just a few hours ago. So when the serpent offered to go to the trailer she couldn't say no.

Toni sat next to Cheryl and the red haired went closer until she had her head on the other girl's shoulder, she had already understood that this were the times when she really felt at peace.

- I don't wanna go back there – the vixen said, still a little shaken up – I know he isn't around anymore but I just never really feel safe in there.

- You don't have to – the other said hugging her tighter – you can stay for as long as you want, and I'm not going to lie, I don't really want to take my eyes of you right now.

- Why not? – Cheryl asked a look a confusion in her face

- I just.. I got very worried when you called me and felt really powerless that I wasn't there to protect you, I mean don't get me wrong I know you can take care of yourself just fine but I don't know... – Toni let out a sigh of frustration, for not being there for her and for not even be able to express what she was feeling

- It's ok, I'm alright – Cheryl tried to comfort the girl

- I know I know, I just keep imagining what could've happen, and they are not pretty images – she let out another sigh – so I just need to stay close to make sure you are okay and that no one is going to hurt you – she took a deep breath and cupped the red haired girl's face to look right in her eyes to make sure she understood her when she said – No one is ever going to hurt you again, not on my watch.

And she understood, and seeing the tender look in the smaller girl's eyes she shed one tear in hers, her heart filled with something she hasn't felt in a long time, security and care.

Before Toni could say another word Cheryl kissed her trying to transmit all of the passion she was feeling and still didn't seem enough.

- Baby, what's wrong? Why are you crying? – with concern in her eyes Toni asked gently when she tasted salt in her lips

- It's just, no one ever cared for me like this, not even my goddam parents – another tear escaped but Toni made sure she wiped that one too – the only one that did care isn't around anymore and I just felt so empty before, I just feel so lucky to have met you.

- I'm the lucky one – Toni smiled softly

That damn smile thought Cheryl, that took out all of her armor, she realized now with that smile that she just wanted to keep seeing it and just keep being around that girl, cause she made her heart stop and start beating again, she perceived, she loved Toni Topaz.

But she didn't say a word, instead she just kissed her again more tenderly than ever.

Cheryl just pulled away for two seconds so she could see the girls eyes, it was all she needed and she was sure, she was ready.

The cheerleader thought that actions outplaced words, and she also didn't know if she was ready to say it, so instead she wanted to make Toni feel it.

So she sinked in Toni's heavenly lips, with a little more urge now, witch the girl realized but she didn't pull away, instead she brought her closer.
