Part 7: The Truth

Trevor's POV:

I woke up in a very bright and cold room, I had no clue where I was or who was around me, I didn't remember what had happened. I looked around and saw Rebel laying on my chest, and I saw a girl I didn't remember, I said, panicking, "W.. Where am I? And who are you?" She stood beside me with a smile on her face, and said, "Trevor, it's me, Kayla.." I stared at her and asked, "Kayla? I don't remember meeting you.." She said, with her smile fading away, "Trevor... Come on stop playing around.. You know who I am.." I shook my head and said, "I.. I don't remember who you are.." I noticed a tear slide down her cheek, Kayla said, "Trevor.. It's me.. Kayla... We're best friends.. Don't you remember?" I said, "I'm sorry, but I don't.."

Kayla's POV:

At first, I thought Trevor was playing around with me, but then I started realizing that he wasn't playing around.. I tried to explain, and get him to remember.. Then, when I gently rested my hand on his, I said, "Trevor, I love you" then I leaned in and kissed him.. As I pulled away, Trevor pulled me back and kissed me back, he said, "Kayla? I remember now.. I remember everything.." I wrapped my arms around him and whispered, "Trevor, thank God!". Trevor looked down at my hands which held his phone, he said, "My phone." I nodded, and said, "You got a text from Aidan." Trevor rolled his eyes and asked, "Ugh, what does he want?" I answered, showing him the messages, "He said thanks for saving his little brother Ethan" Trevor looked at me with a surprised face saying, "Really?".. Then he asked. "Kayla, you read the texts he sent me?" I nodded and said, "Yes." Then, all of a sudden, we heard knocking on the door, and in came Luke and Jeremiah. Jeremiah rushed in immediately wrapping his arms around me saying, "Oh thank God you're okay!" I said, "Yeah, I'm fine". Luke went over to Trevor and asked, "Hey Trevor, you alright?" Trevor nodded and said, "Yeah". Then, Luke grabbed tapped me on the shoulder, with his arms offering a hug, I hugged him back, and he whispered, "Kayla, are you okay?" I nodded. All of a sudden, the lights turned off, and the lights from the heart monitors glowed brightly, and I felt lightheaded as soon as the lights went off.

Jeremiah's POV:

I was so happy to see Kayla, and Trevor alive.. But I noticed the gashes on Kayla's arms and legs, I hadn't realized how badly Kayla was hurt. Just as the lights went off, I saw Kayla just about to faint and just as I was about to catch her, Trevor bolted up and caught her on instinct, he whispered, "Kayla?" he laid her on the hospital bed, and she slowly opened her eyes. The lights had came back on, and Kayla laid there, looking up at Trevor, then she said, "Luke.." he said, "Y..yeah?", she answered, "Now.. You're in danger..." Luke definitely knew what Kayla was talking about, he didn't say anything, he just ran out of the room, I ran after him. Trevor was just about to ran after us, but Kayla pulled him back, she said, "Trevor, wait the boy!" He waited, then Kayla, Ethan and Trevor followed me and Luke. The doctors urged us to come back but we ignored them.

Luke's POV:

I did indeed know what Kayla was talking about, I knew what "danger" I was in, but in order to escape it, we can't just lounge around, we had to go.. When we got out of the hospital, Jeremiah asked me as we ran, "Bro, where are we going?" I stopped, and said looking around, "Um.. Follow me.. This way." And Jeremiah, Trevor and Kayla followed me. I had led us into another dark alley, I made a wrong turn, but just as we were about to run away, we heard gun shots. I looked back, and saw a man with a black leather jacket, aiming a gun at us, shouted, "Come back here!" Trevor tried to make his escape, but the man shot Trevor in his shoulder, Trevor fell in pain, but immediately got up.. He shouted, "Guys, these aren't regular bullets.. These bullets can actually kill us!"

Trevor's POV:

Just as the bullet hit my shoulder I could tell that these were not regular bullets, they were bullets that could kill us... I immediately got up after the bullet hit my shoulder, I looked up, and saw Luna, she looked at me with her finger over her mouth, and I pretended not to see her. Just as the man saw Kayla run towards me, he aimed his gun and shot her, she fell into my arms, and winced in pain, I shouted, "Kayla!" I looked at the bullet hole right under her clavicle, she whispered, "Trevor" I just told her, "Shhhh, I'm right here.. You'll be alright" Luna had jumped on the man's shoulders and flipped off, and kicked him in his leg which made him fall, then she grabbed his gun and shot him. Then, she ran over to us. Right as Kayla got shot, Jeremiah shouted, "Kayla!" He had ran up to the man, and just nearly beat the living hell out of the man. He was not happy, and neither was I. In fact, just as the bullet hit Kayla, and I caught her, I looked up and glared at the man, I told Jeremiah, "Jeremiah watch out!" Then my eyes glowed bright red, and the man flew back.

Jeremiah's POV:

I immediately went into complete rage when I saw the bullet hit Kayla and when she fell. I ran to the man and beat the crap out off him, and Trevor told me to watch out, and then his eyes turned bright red and the man flew back into the wall. Afterwards, I ran back to Kayla, I saw her panicking, and even though I could tell how much pain she was in, she HAD to calm down, or she could possibly die.. I knelt down, looking into her panic-full eyes, I whispered, "Kayla, you have to calm down please" She looked up at Trevor, she said, "Trevor! It hurts!" He moved a piece of Kayla's beautiful hair out of her eyes, and whispered, "I know Kayla, I know". She kept twisting, Trevor then looked up at me, and said, "Jeremiah, can you hold her?" I nodded, and I picked Kayla up gently and held her in my arms, she still twisted and I whispered, "Kayla.." She looked up at me, and said weakly, "Yeah?" I said, "Please calm down.. You're going to hurt yourself even more". Trevor was talking to Luke, and they came back.. Trevor sighed, and said, "Jeremiah, me and Luke can take Ethan.  Max, and you should stay with Kayla.." I answered, "Um.. Okay" Then, Trevor said, "Jeremiah, please take care of her, I don't know what I will do if I lose her.. I said, "Trevor, I'll take care of her, I promise". I gently picked Kayla up, and looked down into her  beautiful violet purple eyes. It was dark now, when all of a sudden, a flash of lightning lit up the dark allie. I could feel that the man that shot Kayla was still here and he was slowly getting up when I looked up at him with anger, I said, "You hurt her" the man replied, "Yeah, I hurt her, but I could have easily killed her.." I asked him, "What do you mean?" He answered, "You see, I could have shot her a little lower and have killed almost instantly" I laid Kayla on Luna's legs, and then I stood up, and pulled out my iron dagger, but Kayla said pulling her titanium dagger out, "Jeremiah, use mine, it is stronger" and so I grabbed her dagger and then struck at the man, but he dodged the hit and instead of aiming his gun and me he aimed it at Kayla.

Max's POV:

When the man shot Kayla, I knew exactly what he did. Like he said, he could have just aimed lower and shot her right in her clavicle and that could have instantly killed her, but he shot her right under her clavicle and hurt her. I knew these kind of things, like where to shoot someone and kill them or not kill them.. When Jeremiah, laid Kayla on Luna, he stood up and he was about to start a fight with this man... With a dagger! Even though the dagger was titanium, the man had a gun, and bringing a knife to a gun is like coming into a gun fight without ammo. Just as the man was about to pull the trigger on Kayla, I ran and kicked the gun out of his hands, but right when it landed on the ground it shot into the middle of the allie, it hit a trash can, it ricocheted and  it came back and merely grazed Jeremiah's forearm, and exposed his scar. I ignored the look of his scar, and then watched Jeremiah jump onto a box and flip off it and stabbed the man in his chest, the man fell to the ground and Jeremiah stood over him, and said to the man, "You're dead motherfucker!" And he looked at me and said, "Max get me that gun" I retrieved the gun and handed it to him, and he shot the man right in the heart. He clutched the gun, he looked at us, and said, "He's dead".

Kayla's POV:

When that motherfucking asshole shot me in the arm, I could tell that it didn't hit my actual clavicle, but it still hurt a whole lot. I looked up at Trevor, and stared into his eyes and watched him lay me in Jeremiah's arms, I was trying to ask him where he was going but the pain pulled my words back. I heard him say he was going with Luke and he would take Ethan, and left me with Jeremiah, Max and Luna. Jeremiah killed the man, and he stood there bravely looking at me and said, "He's dead". Then, Trevor, Luke and Ethan came back, looking at the dead man, and looked at the gun in Jeremiah's hand. Luke said, "Bro?" Jeremiah replied, "The man is dead" Luke took the gun away from him and said, "Damn" Jeremiah and Luke laughed, while Trevor came over to me and Luna, he brushed my bangs out of my face and said, "Kayla" I looked up at him and said, "Trevor, why did you leave?" He looked down ashamed, and said, "I'm sorry Kayla.. I shouldn't have left you here, but where me and Luke went was dangerous, you would have gotten hurt more.. I said, "It's okay Trevor, just please don't leave me again".
