September first. She hadn't passed away yet. I remember everything. Her hair was a light brown, she was seventeen and that would've been her last year of school. She won't ever go to college with me like she'd planned. Her name was Kirsten, She was my best friend. And now she's dead. Like me you don't get to know the end, until you have seen everything that I had to.
Like I said, September first. It was the first day of the last year of school. We rode to Middleton High. She of course was driving, that's what she loved doing most. Her hair was blowing in the wind and she was laughing but ,I can't remember what she was talking about. I just remember the time we had. We got to school and she's literally drooling over some tool named Jackson Evans, I made a joke about how brainless he is she pushed me and laughed. We were together in every class. When school was out we walked over to a local sub shop and ate, she joked about how my meatball sub was bad for me. She really did care about me and I cared about her, We went home her house across from mine. We would text all night and sometimes up until we rode to school together. But that night she messaged me about Evans and that he sent her a pic of himself. ugh.

She said that he was wanting to meet up tonight, I said that it was dangerous for her to go out with Jackson that night but she persisted and told me that she could handle herself then, she sent me a picture of her in an outfit asking if she looked nice and I said yes. I hadn't heard from her in an hour or two so I texted her and she confirmed that she was stood up so I was driving her home, and Kirsten started crying. She even asked if she was good enough for him.I consoled her and she texted me until she fell asleep. I stayed up until dawn that morning, Evans doesn't deserve her.
