My days at the Phenomena Club went on, as usual, it's pretty much just the stuff you'd expect. Helping cats out of trees, aiding old ladies as they cross the street and cleaning up for the environment. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying it. It's just not what I thought it would be, maybe I'm just not getting into the spirit of things. I watched the others go through these exact same events and never losing the smiles on their faces. Everyone was present in the club-room today except Mikhail and Leo, instead of just sitting around reading I wanted to talk to Silva again now that he is here. 'Silva, finally, can I talk to you for a second?', the plush bear turned around and kicked me in the stomach, which seemed to hurt more than it should've. 'What the heck was that for?!', he smirked and laughed at me; 'To be a part of the Phenomena Club and not expect an attack, you obviously aren't ready for any of this yet!' in a sense, the bear was right. I'm not the type to keep my guard down, so easily. But he definitely got me there. 'Yeah, you have a point, Silva. Any idea on how I can improve upon that?', he pondered to himself for a while before jumping onto my shoulder; 'Take on someone stronger than you, if you can do that and hold your own. You can truly handle this club'. I looked at him eye to...buttons, he might've been right. However, this was something I needed to test out after my discussion with Lucienne the other day. 'Who should I fight, Silva? I want nothing more than to be part of this club.' He pointed at Leo, I felt a slight tingle down my back. He was easy to aggravate from my past meetings with him, not to mention he already has a grudge against me. 'Hey, b-blockhead.' everyone looked at me with surprise. Leo realised that I was staring right at him; 'You talking to me, nobody?', I swallowed my fear and went forward with my plan 'Y-Yeah, fight me right now!'. Mikhail instantly held us both back 'Atticus, what do you think you're doing? Apologise to Leo this instant.' I raised my voice once more; 'Fight me at the little league stadium, I'll settle your perspective of me there and then'. 'Bring it on, can't wait to see you knocked down!' For some unknown reason, Mikhail didn't stop me after that, nor did he allow my mother to intervene. Could he have picked up on my hidden intentions?
Everyone exited one by one to head to the destination, Lucienne stayed back and slapped me across the face. 'What the hell are you doing, are you trying to get yourself killed?!' she was expectantly furious, but I simply stood my ground. 'More or less, if anything, I'm trying to show him that I've got something to prove.' Lucienne crossed her arms and pouted; 'Fine, do what you want. You're not the type to listen anyway.' she walked around me and exited the library. I felt bad, horrible even. I wasn't one to go back on my word, though there is just this nagging feeling eating away at me. I wanted to put a stop to it by testing my theory, I took one last breath before going down the slide myself. The others were already waiting in a van outside, Leo was sitting with Blaire and Lucienne. I sat in the back with Zane and Guinevere, they all seemed to be messaging each other in a group chat. Every time I tried to peer over everyone's screens, they would cover their phones. My safe assumption was that they were trying to persuade Leo out of doing this, but I know he wants to, and for me...well, I need to. No matter the cost. My gaze shifted to my guardians discussing quietly with Silva. The plan was to ignore it, it wasn't essential if they knew what I was doing or not. After a long drive we arrived at an empty little league stadium, Zane stopped me in my tracks before I could reach the middle of the stadium. 'Hey, dude. Are you sure you wanna go through with this? Blair and I have never beaten Leo in a fight.' I gave a simple smile and a thumbs up; 'Well, that means that Lucienne has defeated him before. Meaning it is possible, I'll just thank you for worrying about me, Zane. It's just proof that you're a good friend.' He didn't reply, but "fist-bumped" my chest 'Good luck out there, dude!' I nodded and approached Leo at the midfield. Are you ready to get your ass kicked, dork?', I stepped up to the plate and paced my breathing, I've never been in a proper fight with someone with magical powers before. 'Yeah, I'm ready.', we stared each other down for a minute before Leo got into a combat stance. I didn't know how to respond myself, so I stood still with my arms placed at my sides awaiting his attack. Before I knew it, electrical wires shot out from his fingers and wrapped around my leg. 'When did these get here?!', an immense shock was then sent throughout my body. Causing me to cry out in pain, I looked out into the stands to see everyone worried and asking Mikhail to end the match. Though for some reason. He wouldn't budge, does he know exactly what I'm up to? Leo's attacks were relentless, there wasn't much time to avoid or plan an attack. However, I started to notice a pattern after taking all those attacks.
