I walked through the gates.

I really didn't want to be here. It's the first day of me going to BellBrarie East. I took a deep breath,

'Just remember Felix. Head down. Speak only when spoken too. Don't socialise.' I tried to remind myself, focusing on my breathing.

breathe in, breathe out.

oh no

"hi! I'm Elle! welcome to BellBrarie East! you must be new!"

"h-hi I'm um F-felix..." I managed to stutter out at the blonde girl in front of me. I looked up to scope her out. High waisted jeans, pacman tshirt, converse...

"I like your sweater Felix"

"who, mine?"

"I don't know another Felix, so I'm assuming so"

I couldn't help but let out a weak chuckle as I gently tugged on the fabric.

"T-Thanks I guess?"

"Your welcome! Hey I have to go, I'll see you around Sweater boy! "

she playfully teased. I smiled slightly and waved as she ran off to what I assume was a group of cheerleaders. This wasn't too bad after all. I let my eyes dart around my surroundings. I thought Cliques weren't real- only stuff you see in movies.

or maybe I just never lifted my head high enough.

I walked semi-confident through the crowds of people finding their place.

The preppy ones at the entrance.

Jocks and cheerleaders roughhousing and standing pretty by the gate.

Nerds at the benches all with their laptops and textbooks.

Then there's the Drama kids.

I've never really gotten placed in a group, then again, I've never really had friends either.

I think this year will be better.

I hope so.
