The Past

So, another update. I got some free time at school so I chose to write this capter. Well, tomorrow I'm going to sit for History papers. Please pray for me 😁

Eren's Pov




“ Mr Jaeger, someone wants to meet you,” Petra informed after she knocked the door. I looked up from the paper, my eyebrows were set in furrow. Even without asking, she knew what I was implying at.

“ Annie,sir..” She answered with a hint of uncomfortableness in her voice. I nodded, gesturing her to call Annie inside. After Petra disappeared for a few seconds, the blonde woman came into my office. Her face was blank but her eyes; there was something dancing in them. I sighed, taking off the necktie around my neck. Annie boldly sat on my table, leaning her body until her nose almost touching mine.

“ What?”

“ Oh come on, Eren. I know you miss me. Don’t be so sour,” she smiled and made her way to my side this time.

“ My father said he agree to make collaboration with Jaeger company if you know....” she trailed off, her hands were on my chest.

“ Eren... I really love you,” hearing her sad voice, I couldn’t help but pull her close to me with my hands around her waist. Her beautiful eyes were looking straight into mine. Suddenly, I felt guilty when I remembered another pair of eyes, someone's eyes that I used to love so much more than other things in the world.

“ I.. I don’t know, Annie. You know I have Levi already,” I said, walking away from her. I heard she huff in annoyance. This girl, I didn’t know when it started, more like when this scandal started. One minute I love her and one minute she annoyed me so much. Sighing, I casted my gaze at the pretty woman who was saying nothing but staring out the window. I knew that she was thinking about ‘us’.

“ I know you love me Eren.. And I won’t give you up for that bitch!” she suddenly hissed before walking out through the door.

“ Good morning, Eren,” Levi greeted, a really tiny smile grazed his lips. I hummed as I sat down at the dining table as the raven served my breakfast. Then, he sat with me in silence. We kept quiet because there was nothing to talk about honestly. Plus, I didn’t really want to talk about what happened when we were on ship a few days ago. Sighing for nothing, I looked around us. This massive house looked so empty. I couldn’t find any happiness here. Then, my eyes fell upon Levi. He was oblivious about me staring as he was busy munching on the bread.

“ Can I go out today?” he asked, his voice sounded hoping. Well, he didn’t need to ask actually. It was not like I controlled his life. I groaned as response.

“ Thanks..”

“ Where do you want to go, though?” I asked, giving him a side glance.

“ J-just want to go out with Hanji. That’s all,” I narrowed my eyes because he looked a bit nervous. As if feeling uneasy, he started to eat his bread faster.

“ You may go but come back quick,” without looking back at him, I left and walked out through the door of our house. Making my way to the car, I was stopped by a voice.
