A bright smile and kind eyes.

I'm not one for muscles but I can't help but stair.

Your chest is rising and falling slowly, in a peaceful dream I hope.

I just wish to cuddle up next to you.

Squeeze in close enough to hear your heart beat rhythmically.

I've sat here watching you

As I think back to our memories.

Night one we were already making jokes saying we were married and our rings were a pack of juicy fruit and a promise of cuddling in a comfy bed.

I admit, I did warm up quickly to you.

Don't know how, maybe our taste in music.

Or maybe our love for anime.

I just know you are my best friend who can always make me smile.

Your a dork but the most entertaining one at the most.

I've sat here watching you

As my smile fades slowly to a curled frown.

As you explore your dream land, I'm stuck with another sleepless night.

I look back up to you and you shifted in your sleep.

I smile once more and try to imagin the future.

Maybe I will sit and watch you sleep once more.

And when I do, hopefully I'll be next to you.

Instead of 4,000 miles apart.

We will be face to face, not on Skype.
