Nobody's POV:
Holding the silver knife, Laito held it out. His outstretched arm towards Karl Heinz. "Father, today will be your downfall," Laito took slow steps towards Karl Heinz. He grasped the knife loosely, it hung from his hand. Light on his feet, he once again lunged at his father. Laito refused to let one of his father's tricks. Mustering all of the skill and magic he had running through his veins, Laito took his father by the throat.
A light lit the room, the sky and the forest. A shot of the cold shot the from the two, along with gusts of wind. (Y/N)'s (H/C) hair twirled around her, the flowers started to fall apart. "Laito," she screamed as her love disappeared into the light, shining bright. Coming from the wind, she heard his shriek of pain. "Are you okay?" she shouted as her love continued to yelp in pain.
After what seemed to be an eternity, the light started to dim, the wind calmed. The roar no longer existed. There was a hole in the wall. (Y/N) ran to where the hole was. When she looked down, she saw the two men, both bloodied, dueling. The knife was bent, there was hole in Karl Heinz's vest. His chest was barely visible from the blood spewing out.
Relieved, he spoke, "for the longest of times, I have wanted to die. But, I have not been able to find anybody who could kill me. Now, Laito, my son... give me the final blow. Save me from this wretched existence, will you...? Listen to your one and only father," blood dripped down Heinz's chin. His mouth overflowed with his own blood. His arms, outstretched, beckoning to embrace Laito happily.
Laito was numb to his father. He did not care about what words spilled out of the man's mouth. All that he cared about was revenge for harming (Y/N). With a hollow sigh, Laito lunged towards his father once more. Their faces, inches from each other, Laito dropped the knife. With a mighty force, he stuck his hand into his father's chest. He pulled out the heart, crushing it in his palm. Karl Heinz fell to the floor.
Kneeling down to see his father's body, Laito took the knife, severing the head from the body. More blood dripped from the separated veins. Laito, holding the head above his, began to drink the liquor that poured from it. Now, drenched in his father's blood, head to toe, looked towards where (Y/N) had been watching, "you should have closed your eyes," she looked terrified. His words made her more scared. In barely a moment, Laito was there to greet the horrified (Y/N), "now that he is gone, all threats to your well-being have been eliminated. Are you still scared? I love you, never will I dream of you being hurt," Laito touched her cheek with his bloodied hand.
From the horrors of the decapitated head and torn out heart, she begun to cry while staring down at the flowers. They wilted in her hands. The beauty faded from her view. "I want to go home..." she pleaded. Her tears watered the dying flowers. They were warm. Her tears were soaked up by the thirsty flowers in a heart beat.
"You are home," Laito called out to her, "now that I have surpassed my father, this castle is ours. We will live here for the rest of our lives. Our child will be happy without having to worry about that guy," Laito gave (Y/N) a gentle smile. "Ah~ go find my brothers. I need to change from this. It is covered in that old fart's blood," he joked. (Y/N) followed him out the room. She was too nervous to say a word.
(Y/N)'s POV:
I apreciate how Laito wants to protect me and all.. but did he have to dismember his father in such a way? He will do that to you one day, just you wait and see... no, he can't do that to me, can he..? He would never hurt me or his child, Laito is too sweet of a man. I ran into a dim corridor. There was a window, so I could see the sunrise. "Oh, Kanato," I had ran into Laito's younger brother. "Laito went to change, he-" I was cut off by Kanato.
"Oh, you don't need to fill me in on what happened. I already know, I watched the entire thing. And come to think of it, I am glad that that old man is dead. All he was good for was making our lives a living hell. You should be honored, to have witnessed such a noble murder. Why that face? Are you not happy? Do corpses not please you?" As my expression grew with displeasure, Kanato began to raise his voice towards me. "I wish I was the one to defile father in such a way. It is not fair that only one of us got to do it, isn't that right, Teddy?" I took a step back into another brother.
Ayato placed his hands on my shoulders and turned me around to face him, "eh, what the hell did that old man do to you?" he questioned me. Ayato sounded aggravated. I guess it's because he wasn't the one to kill their father...
"To me..? Oh, he did nothing...!" I shouted at him like a wimp. If Laito hadn't been there, what would have happened? Did Karl Heinz do all that to provoke Laito enough that he killed him? Maybe... that's cruel. "I was just given something to eat, is all."
From a distance, I heard Laito calling my name. "Oh, my little (Y/N)...!" He shouted to find me. He changed already? It hasn't even been 5 minutes. Did he really get all of that blood off of himself? His footsteps came from around the corner. "Where'd you run off to? I didn't expect you to walk too far." I saw him come from around the corner, he stood in a striped white and black shirt.
"I was just talking with Ayato and Kanato," I smiled towards him. I was still wearing the tattered and torn dress. I imaged this is what the gender-bend of Subaru would look like. "Come to think of it, it has been while since we have had even a short conversation like this. Usually it's just awkward small talk," lets be real, with me, everything is awkward small talk. You even talk to yourself. Yeah... sadly.
Laito tipped his hat at me, "tonight I will have to thoroughly check your body for any left over marks," he said with a smile creeping onto his face. Why would he say that in front of his brothers? "Say, where are the others?" He glanced at his siblings.
"I don't really care about that," Ayato said in his usual oujidere tone. "They could be dead for all I care. The only thing I care about it watching our old man's body burn. It probably will smell nice," Ayato glanced directly at me, who was still traumatized from watching Laito's grotesque display.
"Why can't we just bury him...? I mean, he is your father after all. You should show him at least a little bit of respect. Plus, his heart is destroyed. What more could happen?" I asked. I heard that vampires could be brought back if their hearts remain intact, is that true? It could be.
"With that man, I wouldn't take the chance," he replied to me. I just now noticed that Yui stood behind him. I glanced towards her. Seems that she was as equally confused and horrified as I was. "He has more magical capability than any before him. Who knows, that could have been a fake heart for all I care."
For the durations of that fateful night, neither of us said another word. We did not want to be apart of whatever they had going on. If we asked, we may have been punished. Neither wanted to take the chance. I was taken to a room by Laito. Me and my old friend were separated once again.
