"As you can see, the area around the hippocampus is slightly bulging, which means that her memory is quite...different than normal." The doctor said to my parents, as I was still under anesthetics. "So, she has good memory?" My dad asked. The doctor sighed. "We might have to keep her here for...further examinations." He said. My mom sighed. "I-if it's necessary..." She muttered, looking at me.
The next day, I was still in the hospital. They had brought me to a part of the hospital I didn't even know existed. Syringes were everywhere. "Don't touch anything." The doctor ordered, and I nodded. I wanted to look around. After he left, I definitely would.
I heard laughing coming from the room I had put that girl in soon after I closed the door. I carefully opened it, to get a syringe in the eye. I slammed the emergency alarms on as I fell to the floor, the girl taking the syringe out of me and running off, leaving me here in pain. We couldn't let her escape.
"WARNING. WARNING. SUBJECT ZA52 IS ESCAPING. FIND AND RESTRAIN THEM." Alarms blasted in my ears as I ran through the dark, cold halls. This wasn't a normal hospital. I screamed as I hit the floor, looking behind me to see a nurse who had grabbed my leg. "Time...huh...ugh...for...your shot..." She said, out of breath, as she stabbed a syringe into my arm and threw me against the wall.
I screamed in pain as she ran off. I couldn't move. I was too weak to do anything. I watched as the doctor I had just injured was being carried away by a couple nurses. Did I kill him? I thought. I felt a growl grow in my throat. Something was happening to me.
