He frowned as he reached out to grab the phone that had interrupted his train of thoughts . Slightly annoyed, he squinted his eyes at his phone once he unlocked it , the brightness coming from the phone immediately illuminating a small part of his room but whatever was on the screen seemed to have annoyed him even more.
"Alicia's not coming to the party, V "
He groaned as he read the message for a few more times . He had already had a shitty day so far and he had hoped to see Alicia tonight at the party. Alicia was his friend whom he had been crushing on constantly for a few weeks or so . as much as he knew Alicia , she was the type of girl who would never bail on a party , the girl basically lived to party . He sighed thinking that it must have been a pretty important issue if she was bailing on them . He texted Jay back telling him that he wasn't coming to the party either and thankfully Jay didn't pester him much about it.

It was past 12AM now and the boy from before was still not asleep . His eyes kept fleeting to their neighbour's daughter's room which wasn't very far from his own . He wondered if she was still out or had she been inside the whole day like him . Suddenly , the lights in her room were flicked on and the windows were pushed open. A little later , he watched Alicia come out of her room and in the balcony wearing a silk night robe .He wanted to call out to her, to get her attention and to ask her why she had bailed on their plan tonight but the only thing being worse than a creep is a creep caught in action, so he watched her from his spot in his room .He watched as Alicia leaned over the railings of her balcony for a little while and how her face glowed under the moonlight . He watched as she went away from the railings and stood by her door with her arms crossed over her chest. He stilled when he watched two hands find their way around Alicia's waist as they pulled her closer . He watched Alicia's face instantly break out in a grin as the figure that loomed behind her in the room probably whispered sweet nothings in her ear . He watched as the figure stepped out in the light of the balcony . He felt his breath get caught up in his throat as he watched his crush's potential lover as he watched them kiss.

" Beautiful." He whispered but this time the words were solely meant for the raven haired beauty he had his eyes transfixed on.
He had watched her pull his neighbour's daughter into the room as she had taken of alicia's top and flung it in some corner of the room. It was only when the light in alicia's room was flicked off that he realized that he had been holding his breath fir quite a long time. He sunk deeper in his bed and attempted to calm him and his raging thoughts down . His thoughts barely managed to let him sleep through that night . He didn't know whether he should have fawned over the raven haired beauty or have despised her for the fact that she was sleeping with the girl he had a crush on right at that very moment .

The very next day , Alicia was found to be dead . they had said that she died from heart attack but the poor boy , Val couldn't bring himself to think that his crush had died from a heart attack(sure nobody can be as good as bed that they can give others a heart attack ) when he had seen her in a middle of a very compromising situation with the other girl less than 10 hours before. All the traces of any other person being there was gone . But he decided to let it go when his parents pleaded him to not get involved and pushed the thought of a potential murderer to the back of his head and focused on moving on from Alicia

A/N - Soooo... Did you see that coming?? 😌😌 Also this happened when V was a senior in high school i.e they were 17.
