Fantasy Thing

Chapter 2 Ave's POV

I wake up flustered once again, I look around and attempt to speak again. I sigh and calmly sit up. April is asleep in her chair. I smile and stand up, then walk into the kitchen area, I make a cup of coffee and smile. I hear someone's footsteps in the upstairs bedroom my ears peaking up. I turn around towards the stairs expecting to see Paige, instead my eyes meet with Ava's, I put my coffee down as she runs towards me. I meet her with a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I was really worried about you!" She says at a volume I'm hoping doesn't wake April. April is standing in the door way however. I smile at Ava and try to speak. "We didn't know how long it'd take for you to wake up hun!"  April says and smiles. Ava grabs my hand tightly. I tilt my head and my ears flop a little. "You've been asleep for like two days.." Ava says looking down at me. Our height difference plus my current state make me feel even more defenseless. I open my mouth to speak again but no words come out, not a swear, not a please, not a why. I get close to Ava for protection, she grabs my hand and I smile lightly. April smiles, "Ava can you watch Ave for a day or so?" April asks and I shake my head. Ava looks at me confused "Of course I'll take care of her" Ava says smiling. April smiles, says goodbye to us and walks back home. I sigh, "Hey hun, how do you feel?" Ava asks, she can see the pain I'm going through on my face, she's probably also literally reading my mind, I stand no chance in lying.. I point to my throat and do a thumbs down. She hands me my coffee and brings me to my bed. I smile and she sits next to me. I grab her hand and take a drink. I begin to get drowsy again, I sigh as my eyelids become heavy, I begin to get the feeling she stopped by my house and grabbed a couple potions from my cellar before coming over. "I did hun, I'm sorry." She says and I smile. "You know I had to do it.. I read your mind earlier, I can't have you staying up all night with me.. She gives me a quick kiss and I fall asleep again.
