"Are you sure we won't get caught, Tod?" Grace asked. Both kids were only ten years old, each. And Grace was scared before Tod even had the idea of doing this.

"Uh, duh." Tod turned to her with a positive expression. "Of course I'm sure we won't get caught. This place has been abandoned for years. We're perfectly fine. Now come on and explore with me!" He skipped away from the hole in the boarded glass doors, his flashlight bobbing around in the dark building.

Grace quietly followed after him, not wanting to be left behind. Her flashlight was shaking with the rest of her. She never liked abandoned places. Especially after hearing all the scary legends and ghost stories about this specific place. Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. A place where supposedly old haunted animatronics in a back room came to life at night and attacked whoever was inside the building at that time. Which was mainly the night guard and possibly another man, but that part was left unclear.

"Grace!" Tod called over. She reluctantly came over to him, seeing that they were now in the hallway leading to the office. She looked at him and saw that he had placed a giant bear mask over his head and balanced it on his shoulders. "Isn't it so cool?" He giggled.

"Y-You probably shouldn't wear that..." She responded nervously.

"Why not?" He asked, tilting his head to the side a little. The ears of the bear mask flopped forward a bit in response.

"W-Well, d-didn't the stories say that people d-died because those th-things exploded inside or s-something?" She tried. She didn't want her friend dying due to neither of them being careful and her not being confident enough to say something first.

"Eh, I guess." He shrugged, taking it off. "But I'm keeping it as a souvenir!" He said excitedly, hugging the mask.

"Heh, alright. That shouldn't be too bad..." Grace said quietly, smiling at him, glad to see him this happy for once. He had a pretty bad past, so she tried to do what she could to keep him happy. Even if it meant getting into trouble or doing something really regrettable.

"Alright, let's split up! You go to the left towards that creepy old 'parts and services' room and I'll go down the right hall to everything else! I already looked inside those rooms leading to the office. There wasn't much in there." He said happily. This scared Grace more than just walking in. She didn't want to be alone.

"Wh-Why can't w-we just go t-together?" She asked hesitantly.

"Because if we split up we'll cover more ground! Duh!" He giggled. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. This place is pretty much empty of all life. Just grab what you can or come get me so I can see it!" He said excitedly as he skipped down the hall, away from her.

She wanted to yell for him to come back, but she didn't want to ruin his fun. She just stood there and watched his bouncing light turn the corner and vanish. She sighed and shakily turned to the door. She slowly crept up to it and gently placed her free hand on it.

Well, maybe if I just pretend to push it, it'll stay shut and I won't have to go in. She thought hopefully. It looked like it'd be stuck anyways since it was old and rusty.

She put a little bit of her weight against it, and to her dismay it opened up with ease with a loud groan as the old door hinges were finally put into use. She squinted to avoid seeing much as she nervously shined her flashlight into the room. At first, she saw nothing, but when she turned the flashlight over to the right a bit, she saw that there was a sort of half wall/barrier in the middle of the room.

She gave out a shaky sigh as she took a step into the room to look over on the other side of barrier, since where she had been standing she couldn't see everything. She closed her eyes as she turned the corner and shined the bright spot light into the small area. Hearing nothing other than her own scared breathing, she cracked an eye open. She squeaked and clapped a hand over her mouth when she caught sight of what she was hoping not to find.
