Wilting Rose

I'm like a wilting rose,
My time is just about up,
Each day a petal falls,
Each day I get closer to his grasp,
His slimy, cold hands try to grab me,
One day I will just give in,
Give in to my pain,
All my parents work in vain,
I'm sorry,
I tried,
I'm sure you did too,
All the time you've spent on me,
All that time and I've amounted to nothing,
Nothing for you to be proud of,
Nothing to love,
Nothing to save,
Might as well dig my grave,
It's too late,
But don't frown and feel sullen,
After all I'm just a burden,
I'm like a sink hole,
All I do is bring people down,
Rejoice on this certain occasion,
After all,
You only die once!
I can't focus on the goods,
Just the bads,
That is the perks of living in my head,
That is the perks of being dead.
