#2.
The universal word for friends and family. The things that matter most to people. But what is there to it?
Love is based on one word: TRUST. A word that is hard to attain in just a short amount of time. It takes longer than just minutes, hours, days, months, or even years for some to gain it fully in another.
A word that brings two people alike or totally different to be friends. Friends meaning not the type that you can just call and hang out, but where you can find a shoulder to cry on, a person to confide in, or be a part of you.
A word that shows true friendship. Whether you let your friend be bullied or you stand up for them. You stand up for that person wanting to protect them.
It's the word that shows you care for someone. You either take care of them, watch them, or maybe even just be with them. Everything you do gives them comfort. Over time you start to grow on them. That is what I call love. You grow on them so much you can't see your life without them. Whether they are family or not. You become one with them as they are with you. We grow along with them, and soon we are literally called family.
The kind of love that always last. A fight, an argument, or even a disapproval doesn't matter. No matter what over the past years you built that love it will never go away. They will eventually forgive you and you'll move on with your life.
A word that also shows you will risk your own life for others. The ultimate test of loyalty. The gesture that says, "I will do anything for you." Some people don't have the courage, but that doesn't matter. Like everyone says: It's the thought that counts. They are unable to risk life, but they show that they will always be there for you.
That's the great thing about love: it shows who your true friends and where your loyalty lies for someone. Most importantly, it shows you what you can do for just ONE person.
But soon, there will be more than just one.
