Before I tell you about my life, know that everything that people who don't know me tell you, is a lie.
I woke to bickering in the girls dorms. Why bickering? Oh yes! Because bitches are like that here. I can easily guess who the bitches in question are. It's - no I can't say their names; they are a disgrace to humanity.
Let's just wait till somebody else dooms themselves with their names, especially the Queen Bee’s.
"Hey Emily!" Oh there goes! Wait! No, sorry wrong person. "Emily! Wake up sleeping beauty" After waiting for the information to reach my brain, I understand that it's me being called.
I groan, no wanting to know who's calling me. You'd think I could guess by the voice, but it's way too early to expect anything from me.
"Well aren't you the lovely princess!" The unknown voice says.
Reluctantly, I open my eyes to find my good friend Amelia staring at me.
"Why you waking me up? It's the middle of the night." I say closing my eyes again.
"Yeah nice try. Come on or we'll be late for class. And don't you dare try and go back to sleep! I will come back to you with a trumpet!"
"Fine." I get up to have a good look at the room. The dorms here are pretty simple, two people per room with a bathroom attached to it. The boy’s dorms are in a building that is a copy of this one. Sadly, everybody who goes to this school has to be a boarder too. Which means that the 3000 kids between 11 and 18 learning here have to spend all their spare time at school. Isn't it just a lovely life? Well at least they're the ones who chose this school for its amazing teaching and stuff. I didn't have a choice.
After I washed, dressed and had breakfast, I make my way to the main school ground, which consist of two big buildings and three small ones. In the middle of them, there is this round open air roman theatre thingy, where you get different levels of seats so that everybody can sit down and still see what's going on in the middle.
The theatre has a miniature football and basketball pitch in the middle so we use it for tournaments and meetings. The amazing thing is that every time all the kids in the school are united for a meeting, no microphone is needed because it’s just so quiet.
Taking my books from my locker (Most kids don’t have lockers but I do seeing that I’m 16), I make my way to my first class: History. I love this class so much because Amelia and I sit next to each other at the back of the class. You can imagine the scenario.
“Oh look who it is!” The voice of the blondest blond ever reaches my ear. “Dum senior and Dum junior.”
A couple of laughs go about the class. From that point on, I knew everybody was listening.
“Way to go Cassie!” A voice from the back of the class cries. And now you know. Queen Bee is called Cassie. I pity the poor soul that just said her name.
“Hey Amelia come and see! The zoo on tour!” I say in the most confident voice whilst pointing to her and her minions.
Silence. Everybody was shocked. I understand them, I am the only one here that can actually answer her back because I have had very close encounters with death so I don’t get scared by a group of gold fish.
“You did not-“ Cassie started, trying to get back on track.
“Oh my God the monkey talks!” I cut her off. “Quick give me your phone so that I can film it! I wonder if it’s got more live brains sells than dead ones.” From the corner of my eye I can see Amelia holding in her laughter.
The eyes of her minions are widen in shock. Though most of the boys at the back of the class are smiling at me like to say “Keep going!”. Me being the obedient girl that I am, I did.
“How many pots of makeup they put on to stop you from looking like Satan’s backside?” One of her minions, named Sicilia, faked a faint. “Well whatever the number, it’s still not enough.” Amelia couldn’t hold it in anymore and burst out laughing, along with all the boys. But the Cassie and co were way too shocked to do anything. I opened my mouth to continue but a smiling young teacher walks in. Judging by the way he winked at me, I understood that he heard our little conversation.
“Ok class settle down!” He said in an authoritative voice.
I head to my seat, high fiving my class mate’s hands. I usually get left out of the bickering because people know I will answer back. But every once in a while, Cassie will give it another shot, just to see if I might have changed. As if.
The lives of the children here are simple: Go to school, have fun, become popular, get good grades, have a boyfriend, get married, have kids, live a happy life and die in peace.
Mine is so much bigger, more dangerous and way more awesome. But so very, very deadly.
