The Truth

Chapter 1

-FFW>> 2 years later from prologue-

I panted as I tried to run away from the man that ruined my life. I looked back as I ran, dumb mistake. I tripped over-- You guessed it! Nothing. My whole structure started shaking as he walked closer. I slowly crawled backwards as he stepped towards me.

He slowy walked, his eyes taunting me. "I have you all to myself it seems, hmm?" . He gave me a wicked smile and yanked me up by my hair.

I growled at him. "Ow! What the fu-!"  He backhanded me into the wall. My vision blurred as I groveled across the dirty floor, hoping to get away. My hopes flew out the window as he yanked at my hair once more.

"Now what do you say we have some fun?" He grinned, showing his nasty teeth.

My face paled at his suggestion. I started kicking and screaming.

He slammed me against the wall and pulled out a shiny object. My eyes widened in fear.

My mouth shaped in the form of an 'O'. He once more stepped closer.

I blubblered, "Please don't...Leave me alo--"  His fingers wrapped around my neck, squeazing and cutting off all my oxygen.

He snarled, "Shut up!" His eyes filled with disgust and hatred.

This is it, I was going to die. 

He brought the knife up to my neck and smirked.

I screamed.

Cold substanced engulfed me as I screamed. I felt my body being shaken. I tensed and kicked and screamed.

"Allie! Stop! You're having a nightmare!"  Maddie yelled. At that, I stopped and looked around the room.

"Hey..where am I?" I asked scratching my head in confusing.

She gave me a blank look," You spent the night" Oh. That's right..

I smiled sheepishly, "Uh, sorry about that wahhh, blahh blahh" I said while flailing my hands around.

She laughed, "It's okay.. What did you dream about anyways?" She peered at me curiously through her eyelashes.

Lie.

I scratched the back of my neck, "Oh you know, I was fighting the cookie monster.. He stole my cookie!"

She looked at me disbelieving, "And you scream like that?"

I smiled brightly, "Hey, don't hate on my battle cry" I snapped my finger. "Oh! Speaking of which do you have cookies?"

Maddie laughed loudly, "I just might" Then she smirked, "But will I give it to you? Nope!"

I huffed and crossed my arms and muttered, "Jerk."

She rolled her eyes and said, "Oh stop being a baby!"

I gave her a glare and gave her the silent treatment.

After a few minutes of my silence she yelled, "Ah! You butt! Fine just stop doing that!"

I gave her an innocent look, "What?"

She narrowed her eyes at me, "Just get up!" and she turned and stomped out of the room.

I laughed and jumped out of bed.

I sat in the car, tapping my fingersimpatiently on the steering wheel. I huffed and slammed my hand on the horn.

"I'm a commin!" Maddie screamed. She ran, almost tripping might I add. I coughed out a laugh while she on the other hand glared. She slammed the car door.

"Hey, be nice to my baby!" I patted Sophie on the side and gave her a look.

"Pfft, sorry-- not!" She laughed. Ha! She thought she was funny.

"Haha Good joke!" I laughed, "NOT!"

I gave her a smug smile, ha-haa!

I fiddled with the radio until a song came on, we looked at each other and started belting out lyrics.

As I was driving I noticed something. Something strange, or more specifically someone. I was in a reveree thinking. I wasn't paying attention.

Maddie screamed, "Look out!"

My mind snapped out of it and I swerved the car. Narrowly missing the truck. I started thinking about it more. Why is he here?  Does he remember...

"Are you okay?" Maddie asked

"Yeah, yeah, just saw a squirrel"

She looked at me for a few seconds and then smacked me on the arm.

"You almost killed me for a squirrel!?"

"It was hot! You would've stared!" I huffed, "Ugh sorry then"

She then turned to me then smiled widely, "Is all gooood in the hood!" She said as she tried to act like a gangster.

I burst out laughing, "You loser"

She stuck her tongue out and I returned it.

I looked to where he was standing only a few minutes ago, but he was gone.
