When she saw him, time slowed to a stop. He was so perfect in every way imaginable, from the way his blonde hair curled slightly at the ends to the brown eyes that almost seemed to twinkle. She knew her life would never be the same. After a year of searching she had finally found him. The one. The first boy she would ever kill.
He looked so innocent, wandering around Weston's aimlessly. She could smell it though. The corruption was in his blood; he had a stolen lighter in his pocket, he'd smoked marijuana two days ago despite being alone when he did it, and the fact that a poor girl would never be the same after he defiled her a month before at his brothers graduation.
Picking up a box of cinnamon hair dye, she began to follow him through the store, staying a safe distance away so she wouldn't be spotted. He had his head down, ear buds blasting music that even other customers could hear. The boy didn't look like he had a clear plan, just that he would steal anything that would fit in his pockets discreetly.
After watching mint gum, a stress ball and a protein bar disappear into the pocket with the lighter, he went down the make up isle as if he cared so much as to get his sister her favourite shade of lip gloss. A buzz went past her ear, and taking a second to swat it, she lost focus. The thud was loud as an eyeliner displayed wobbled, sending an array of different coloured eyeliners to the floor. Being the sweetheart he clearly was, the boy came over to help her pick up the falling display.
“Here.” he said, passing her a handful of blue eyeliner for her to put back.
She looked at him a second before taking them, “Thanks” she said dryly.
After a few seconds, he spoke again, “You may want to pay more attention to where you're going next time.”
“There was a fly.” she mumbled.
He laughed, “That's what they all say.”
“What do you mean, that's what they all say.” she said, weirdly offended.
“The girls. You were following me, right?”
She took a step back, “Uh, no.”
“No need to be embarrassed,” he stood up from where he was crouching with an eyeliner, which he then put in his pocket, “I know I'm hard to resist.” all she could do was stare at him. He stroked her face gently with the tips of his fingers, making her skin crawl, “How about you and me go outside to the back, doll face.”
Resisting the urge to vomit, she did her best to return the seduction. She took a step forward, placing one hand gently on his shoulder, the other on his waist, “Oh the things I'm going to do to you.” she whispered in his ear.
He kissed her on the cheek, “Follow me.”
The boy led her to an ally behind the store. It was dark, no streetlights at all, not even a flicker. The only hint of human life besides the brick walls that stood on either side of them was an empty dumpster which still stunk. It looked like no one would come out. Perfect.
His kisses tasted like whiskey and watermelon vapour and were short but, came quickly. He was excited. Already, he began to work his way to her ear, nibbling on it. She forced herself to make satisfied moans, increasing his want. He kissed her neck. Pretending to be tentative he slipped his hand up her shirt.
“I don't know what you think I came back here with you for but, I think we have different ideas.” she said, doing her best to make her voice sound innocent.
Between kisses he breathed, “What do you want to do babe?”
“This.” she grunted, sending a knife into his abdomen.
He bled out, leaving a puddle on the ground. Grabbing the bottle she'd tapped under her shirt, she scooped up enough of the blood to take back. The horror on his face as he looked up at her was amusing. Before walking away, she took back her knife which he'd taken out and was holding in his hands. He tried to slash her but she laughed.
“Don't worry, you'll die soon enough.” then, she kicked him in the head for the girl he raped and left him to die.
