Lola couldn't believe it. After all her hard work, it didn't even matter. "What do you MEAN it's not due today?!"

charli sighed and shook her head. "Were you even paying attention in class? She said it's due next week!" Lola groaned and slammed her locker shut.

"I thought she said today!"

just as charli was about to speak, Anna walked up. "Hey guys!" she smiled her angelic smile, and Lola immediately forgot about the project.

"H-h-hey!" she stammered. Charli looked at her and smirked. To charli, this was the funniest thing in the world. "What were you so mad about? You looked really stressed."

Lola blushed with embarrassment. "U-uhm... i-it was nothing. J-just a misunderstanding." Anna laughed lightly, and opened her locker. Charli smiled evilly and walked off, leaving Lola with anna alone. Lola angrily glared at the back of her head as she left. "Are you ok? You look mad...."

Anna snapped her back to the conversation, and she smiled nervously. "Sorry. Just got a little lost in thought." Anna frowned. 'Shoot!' Lola panicked in her mind. 'It sounds like i was uninterested in the convo!' "b-but yeah! Uhm..." 'what were we talking about?!'

"it's ok!" Anna stated happily. "I was just gonna ask if you knew what was for lunch!"

Lola sighed with relief. "Oh! Yes! Uhm... i think it's pizza."

Anna groaned. "Whaaat?! Again?" she and Lola both laughed, and the bell rang. "Oops! I gotta go! Bye rainbow girl!" Anna waved as she sprinted down the hallway, and as Lola walked to her next class she thought, 'maybe that nickname isn't so bad. Then she slammed her face into annas locker.

2:30

Charli laughed as they walked to choir. "YOU HIT YOUR FACE ON THE LOCKER!" she cackled.

"I know that! It hurt!" Lola held the ice pack to her cheek.

"It was hilarious! I can't believe you just got beat up by a LOCKER!" Lola chuckled quietly as they walked into class. Mr. Ankei was at the computer, bringing up the schedule for the day.

"Good afternoon mr Ankie!" Charli said. Ankei turned, and his face went from excitement to confusion.

"Lola! What happened? Did you get attacked by the lunch trays again?"

charli laughed. "N-no.... Locker."

mr Ankie noded. "Ah. i see! I'll give the locker a detention then!" he turned and went back to work, and Lola laughed lightly. Mr Ankie always managed to cheer her up. "Get out acapella!" he yelled, and Lola grabbed her music and picked her mic off the floor. Charli and a few others did the same, and they started.

No matter how hard Lola tried, she couldn't find her house. She had just gotten her license, and had forgotten to buy a GPS. she groaned as she turned the corner of elm street, and found herself at yet another street she didn't recognise. She pulled into someones driveway and called her mother.

"Hello?" came a voice on the other end.

"Hey mom! I can't figure out how to get home... can you give me directions?" she heard her mom say something to one of her co-workers.

"Alright. What street are you on?"

"trotter street." she replied.

"Alright, take the first two left turns, then a right turn, then go straight, and you should find our neighborhood."

Lola smiled. "Thanks mom!"

When Lola got to her house, something was going on a few houses down. People were gathered around, looking at the house, which was being consumed by the blue and orange flames billowing out of the windows. There were shouts and cries from people watching. "The children!" a woman cried. Sure enough, there were three little girls on the top floor, where the fire hadn't quite reached yet. They were crying and screaming, and Lola, without thinking, ran into the house. The heat hit her face with a tidal wave like force, and she immediately started to sweat. She shielded her eyes and quickly searched for a way up. She found the stairs, and started to climb, and a part of it collapsed under her weight. She held onto the still intact railing, and pulled herself up to the second floor. The floor was charred, and the walls were becoming engulfed in flames. She raced to the childrens room, and found them banging on the window. She ran over and scanned the outside. A tree was close enough, but not close enough to help. If she managed to get them to jump, the kids could be caught by the people below. She grabbed onto the frame of the window, and gave it a mighty kick, sending the window pane flying into the tree. She shouted down at the crowd. "Get ready to catch the children!" she looked at them and said, "trust me. I am going to drop you guys down into the crowd. They will catch you. understand? " they nodded, and she picked up the eldest, and dropped her into the people two stories down. They caught her, and set her on the floor. She did the same with the other two, and then dropped down herself. She was caught by several hands, and set onto the ground. When her feet were planted securely onto the cement, she was slapped by an officer.

"What were you thinking?! You could have killed all four of you!" he scolded.

She put a hand on her cheek, and gave him a cold glare. "They would have died if i didn't do anything!" the bystanders agreed, and the officer shook his head.

"Thank you for saving them. But next time, please wait for the adults to do their job." and with that, he walked away.

6:50

Lola read through her comments. "Terrible!" "ew!" "its ok..." she closed her computer and slumped down into her chair. How could she write today? Not after seeing comments like that. She heard a knock on the door. "Come in." she spoke in a dull voice. Her sister, martha, stepped in. lola's eyes widened at the sight of her. She had been off in college for three years, without coming by, not even for birthdays or christmas. "Hey!" she smiled and sat on Lola's bed. "Hi," she responded, slight anger rising in her. Lola was excited to see her, but that didn't change the fact that she'd left her for so long, with not even a single phone call.

"You feeling ok? You don't seem as chipper as you used to be..."

"Maybe it's because i haven't seen you in three years."

"Oh, Lo, I truly am sorry i haven't called or came over..."

"Don't be. It won't change anything if you do."

"Lo...."

Lola didn't want to talk to her anymore. She probably didn't even have a good explanation for leaving for so long. She hadn't even been there when their father left.

"Lo im sorry. I promise i'll make it up to you and mom. I'll make it up to you. I know it's been a while, but i'm sure we can figure something out!"

Lola got up. She didn't want to deal with this right now. Before Martha could say anything, she had left.
