SUMMARY.
gabrielle 'gabi' king loves writing stories about the most blood-curdling things — her most recent novella, a short story about a killer clown who terrorized a bunch of kids in a small town.

a town creepily similar to gabi's own, hawkins, indiana.

even though gabi's stories are great, in a creepy-crawly way, no one likes her; everyone think she's weird for being so fascinated by the gore and macabre. well, no one except her best reader, anonymous.

ever since gabi accidentally left one of her manuscripts in science desk and anonymous stumbled upon it, gabi's been leaving them her stories in exchange for frequent notes filled with praise and (rarely) criticism.

but anonymous won't share their name — even though they know gabi's identity.

one night, while gabi's working on a story, she sees lights flicker in her attic. eager to investigate and possibly gain inspiration, gabi ventures in to see what it is, but nothing seems to be there.

but, from that moment on, gabi can think of nothing but that flickering light, the eerie shivers that passed through her that night. nothing else.

and she keeps seeing light flickers, everywhere; gabi king was beginning to see the dark side of a scare.

PLOT.
- gabi! has! no! friends! except for anonymous (who is dUSTIN), and gabi doesn't necessarily consider him a friend

- this is based after stephen king, if you haven't noticed! gabi's 'clown book' is it, and you can add stuff about that, like her drawing inspiration, if you want!

- stacey bullies gabi, whoops.

- you can't change gabi's last name bc it's essential to the plot, and not her first name either, bc that is named after one of my best friends who gave me the idea for this plot.

- gabi doesn't do d&d, gabi doesn't know star wars or marvel. gabi only watches horror movies, but that's okay, bc that's what connects her to dustin.

- gabi does not make dirty jokes, but she should think them. that could be what fuels richie's character; richie would be gabi's inner personality, the part of her she doesn't let out, since she's generally very quiet.
