- I woke up. It was Monday. 7:00. I look around. I Don't see Carter anywhere. He usually sleeps On the Bed across from mines. The house was quiet. I got up and walked out the Room. I Went next door to his mom ( Jessica ) Room. She like my mother. She buy me clothes , feed me and everything. But She will never replace my real mom ( r.I.p Mommy ) When I walked In, Jessica was sitting On the Bed knitting.
"GoodMorning Ma" I said Walking In.
"GoodMorning Riyan.. Looking For Carter?" She asked reading my face.
"Um Yeah..Have You Seen Him?" I asked.
"I Sure Did" She smirked as She said that.
"Where Is He? " I asked. She was starting to scare me.
"School" when She said that She laughed.
"Really Ma?" I did a smile laugh.
"Really..I Woke Him Up 6:30 .. You Next.. I'm Tired Of Y'all Living Off My EBT Card.. Its Not Gonna Last Us Forever Especially If Y'all Want Good Jobs Besides Gambling " She said that with a serious face and I knew She wasn't playing. I nodded and walked out the Room. I Went back to our Room and I layed back On my Bed. I was going to try to make my momma proud. I didn't Know how or when.
Carter POV
- My mom really had me sitting In school. In a dumb classroom full of dumb boys and sexy girls. I Don't Know why She did This to me. Why not Riyan? I was barely paying attention. There was some weird looking problem On the board like - 2x + 4-5= ?? What ever happen to 2+2 ? 9th grade was hard!
"Carter Dear Are You Paying Attention?" the teacher ( Ms.Williams ) said.She just put me On blast now the whole class was looking At me -___-

"So What's The Answer?" She asked.
I said "6?" the entire Room laughed. Was I wrong?
"No Carter Its 1.. Maybe You Should Pay Attention And Not Daydream " She stated rudely.

" CARTER WEBSTER YOU WILL STAY AFTERSCHOOL UNTIL 5:00 FOR DETENTION I WILL BE CALLING YOUR MOM" Ms.Williams yelled. I was embarrassed. Girls laughed and boys whispered shit about me.To pussy to say it too my face.
