"Have the jury reached a verdict on which they're all agreed ?"The judge asked , I was sat behind Phil in the court room holding my breath , He was my best friend and I didn't want him to be sent to jail ,He had one of his hands through the gap in his chair and his fingers were intertwined with mine , People always did think me and Phil were a couple .
"Not guilty "The jury said , I let out a sigh of relief as Phil took his hand out of mine and stood up to hug his partners , I decided to leave him alone for a few minutes while I stood outside , I leaned against the wall opposite the courtroom until he came out , He walked towards me and I sighed wrapping my arms around his torso and rested my head on his shoulder while his wrapped around my shoulders .
"You didn't kill those guys Phil "I said with my eyes watering ,"I know , But hey , stop the crying I'm here now "He said pulling away and wiping my tears from my eyes ,He pulled a funny face and I smiled weakly ,"C'mon let's go to my place , have a drink "He said pulling me.out the courtroom , We got into his car and began driving to his house .
He stopped and we both climbed out and entered his house , I sat down in his couch as he went to the kitchen to grab whatever we were drinking ,He came back with a bottle and a packet of cigarettes as per usual ,Phil had taken his jacket off ,undone his tie and unbuttoned the first two buttons on his shirt and leaned back and let out a cloud of smoke ,"Ugh ,those bastards were giving me headaches "I groaned holding my head .
"Turn around "Phil spoke up ,I put my glass down , I turned around like he said ,"Lie down " He said ,I lay down and my head was resting on his lap , Both his hands went to my head and began playing with my hair ,My head was starting to feel better already , "Don't go to sleep on me "Phil chuckle softly ,"Can't help it "I said quietly , He sat me up before standing up himself .
He picked me up bridal style and carried me upstairs to where his room was and laid me down on the bed but after letting me get changed into some clothes I had left ,"Get some rest ,you need it "Phil said , he began to walk out ,"Wait!"I called , He turned back around and looked at me ,"Stay with me "I said , he sighed but nodded and took off his shirt and his work pants before climbing in the bed with me and wrapping an arm around my shoulders .
"You know , You almost ripped my hand off in the court room , you were holding my hand to tight "Phil said quietly , "Didn't realise " I said shortly ,"Go to sleep , you need it "Phil said stroking my hair once more .
I closed my eyes and felt Phil kiss the top of my head softly before moving even closer to me and going to sleep himself .
