Dawns Trauma

The once sunny sky, was replaced with the dark ominous thunderclouds and she could see the storm brewing so she hurried to get to the bus stop from school so she could get home. She ran down the paved sidewalk and just as she got to the bus stop. She seen it driving off she waved franticly shouting

" WAIT " As she continued running toward the bus slowing down on the sidewalk to catch her breath as it started to pour rain, the rain came down so quickly it blinded her. Speeding back up her pace trying to focus on her breathing she hurriedly ran 4 miles home. As she was running through the gate she noticed the police but not just the police the ambulance too. As she tried to run up to her home that now had caution tape around the front and back. One of the police officers held her back as she panicked because she had know idea of what was going on. "My family what is going on PLEASE no" the police officer had a kind face but was filled with sadness and knelt down " I'm sorry your family was murdered you must be Dawn your aunt Esmerelda is on her way to come get you so you don't have to stay at the station I know this is extremely hard but I see you are strong girl I know you can get through this." Dawns face scrunched up and her lip began to quiver tears streaming down her cheeks along with the rain making her body shake because of the coldness of the rain and wind. " who what happened family... my siblings my mom dad no this cant be how why me? " the last part came out barley a whisper as she crumbled to the sidewalk at the end of her walk way that lead to what was once her home.

Her aunt Esmerelda finally pulled up in her black SUV she put it in park and hopped out her vehicle she ran over to the officer and asked about getting Dawns and her things he told her "She is free to go, you will have to come back sometime next week for her belongings we have to investigate the home to see what happened to the family." As he pulled a card out if his pocket he stated "Just contact us here at this number and we will send and escort over". Esmerelda nodded she then ran to Dawns side she said "Dawn baby I'm so sorry this has happened" She then bent down and hugged her while rubbing circles in to Dawns back. Dawn saw her aunts lips begin to move but Dawn heard nothing. She immediately began to feel sleepy, her Aunt then walked her to the SUV set her in the front seat and buckled her up leaning the seat back a little. Dawns eyes immediately start to flutter and she fell asleep. Esmerelda walked back over to driver side of the SUV and hopped in and drove towards Aria Falls her family lived right on the outskirts of the small town. Esmerelda cried the whole way home she was good friends with Dawns mother they had grown up together they where like sisters. Esmerelda was to be the kids god mother if anything ever happened to her. Even though they were not blood Esmerelda took on the role as the aunt Dawn and her siblings never dreamed of having.

Dawns pov six years later age 18

I never really got over my family's passing I missed them everyday but my aunt Esmerelda made me feel very welcomed and uncle Luke they where my seconded set of parents. Don't get me wrong I missed my three siblings too my sisters where every thing I adored them so much.
With aunt Esmerelda having three boys I basically had brothers but it so different than having sisters lemme tell you I woke up one day I had to pee and went to set down half sleep on the toilet and went all the way through it definitely woke me up and I woke every one up with the thud it made and splash all the boys where laughing. Aunt Esmerelda got them back though I was greatly in her favor for it.

Setting my  pen down after signing my name to what I just wrote in my diary. I set it down on my bed and stand up and walk to my closet getting some clothes for a shower. I picked out I blue top with black skinny jeans and black sandals made my way to the door opened it and started to the door on the right at the end of the hallway as I was making my way there I trying beat the boys because there's only one bathroom I had exactly ten minutes before every one got up we all had to get up six because school and work so I woke up at five and wrote in my diary this morning plus its my birthday I just don't feel like celebrating this year I feel it just got harder for me over the years.

As I made it to the bathroom door I hard some footsteps and tried to hurry " HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN your finally eighteen!" my face was bright red I was a pale girl so it was had for me to hide my facial expressions. Alexander, Gerald and Duncan where singing the birthday song and uncle Luke had birthday cake in hand Aunt Esmerelda gave me a small black gift box with a red ribbon she a had a breath taking smile and black hair that made her white teeth sparkle along with her green eyes " Well take it I've been waiting so long to give this to you it was your mothers she would want u to wear it." smiling a gentle smile I took the gift box " thank you " Alexander smirked " you only get the first shower today because its your birthday." Duncan hit him in the stomach and glared " be nice Alexander its her day plus she needs to have her  head clear for tonight." walking in to the bathroom shutting the door..
I let out a sigh " Look you got to get though today and don't be nervous for the birth ceremony you get your powers today I just wish mom and dad and my sisters could be here." stripping down I start the shower and make sure its boiling hot I step in washing my hair than my body I rinse off get out and  dry off than putting on my outfit.
I open the gift box and was in awe at the necklace it was a silver chain with a vile that read hopes and dreams with a purple liquid in side I put it on than my shoes while letting my  red firey hair air dry. My outfit along with the new necklace really made my blue eyes stand out I smiled and opened the door and headed to the kitchen.
Where I seen everyone at the table eating breakfast I grabbed an apple not really wanting to much this morning and set down uncle Luke tilted his head to the side " What's wrong bug you always love your birthday breakfast you don't seem happy this morning your a young Blood witch with so much potential and you got to be a little excited for tonight for birthing ceremony you find your missing piece your powers." by the time he was done talking he got up and got a bigger gift bag and he had wide smile on his face along with aunt Esmerelda " open it " they said in unison as he handed me the gift bag.

I couldn't help but smile uncle Luke always knew what to say to make me feel better as I opened the gift I noticed I shoe box also in there I pulled it out and opened the box to some silver wedges . Than I looked deeper in the bag to find an elegant white almost shier dress that look like it would cling to me like second skin.
I looked up with huge smile " wow there perfect thank u so much" aunt Esmerelda " we want u to where it for your ceremony the necklace looks fabulous on you." she bent down to where she could hug my shoulders where I was setting. Aunt Esmerelda pulled me up from the chair and nudge for me to follow her " I will help you do your makeup tonight." she said as she continued walking she opened a room what they called office I had never been in here before because I wasn't of age to know everything but I guess today is the day I learn she waited for me to enter behind her.

Looking around I noticed that there where a lot of books and jars filled with so many herbs, crystals and what looked like dirt she pulled out a book " this is your family book the pages look blank to the normal eye only your blood can access the words you will find answers in there ones I cant give you , but you will learn more at your ceremony take the book with you." I grabbed the book "Thank you , but how will I know where to began." she looked at me "Ask the book. alright I don't want you guys to be late for school I will see you when your home I love you Dawn "
