The nerd in disguise - Jace Norman fanfiction

Part 1

Melody's pov

"Melody get up sweetie", my mum called. I slowly opened my eyes and was greeted by my mums face in mine shaking me.
I jolted up from my bed

"Oh fuck sake mum, you cared me" I said clutching my chest and going red.

"Sorry Hun, but it's 7:30am you have to get up it's school". I nodded my head and mentally groaned. I waited till she got out of my room and shut the door.

I slowly threw my covers off and slid slowly off my bed. I walked to the bathroom. I got into the shower and let the hot water run over my body. The bruises from yesterday stinging under the hot water. I got out and go dressed, into a long sleeve dress. I threw on my jacket on, grabbed my glasses from my side. I looked at myself one last time in mirror and sighed.

I ran downstairs and grabbed a granola bar. I threw my black vans on and grabbed my book bag.
"See ya mum", I yelled, I didn't wait for a response and slammed the door shut.  I walked  down the same path I walk everyday, on my way to school.

When I was about 5 minutes from school, a red sports car was slowing down behind me. They slowed to the same rate I was waking and pulled up beside.

I didn't want to look beside me, but I felt the urge to.

I should have guessed, of course it was Jace. Only the hottest person at school and one year above me.

Jace and I used to be friends when we were younger, my mum and his used to be best friends since they were at high school. They still would be, but Jace's mum died in a car crash a few years ago. Since then him and his family haven't really had any contact with us and distances them selves.

Jace was one of the 'main' jocks at the school, one of the most popular kids at school, with girls drooling at his feet, practically begging him to hook up with them. This wasn't the Jace I knew.

It sounds bad that after all this time, I still like him. I have had sort of a crush on him since we were kids. It's kind of a part of me that would always like him. But why would I when he's such a dick to me and everyone around him?

"Hey shortie", he yelled out the side of his car. The 3 girls in the car laughed. What was so funny.

"Fuck off jace" I said and quickened my pace. His car sped up.

"Don't be like this hun", he smirked. I rolled my eyes.

"Please, leave me alone" I stuttered, closing my eyes, hoping he would just vanish when I opened them again.

"Fine, your royal highness ", he mocked. All the girls stared at him and then back at me. They screeched with laughter, as if it was the funniest thing they had ever seen.

He looked at me one last time, dead in the eyes before He sped away leaving a cloud of black smoke from his car exhaust, in the air and all over my white dress. Great. This day is going perfect..

*At School*

I ran strait to class and sat next to my best friend Maddison.

"Hey Maddison", I said with a big chessy grin.
"Heya mel you ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine thanks you?"
"Never better".

Maddison and I are best friends. We're the nobody's at school. The ones who lurk in the corridors unnoticed.

We like it like this, we look at all the popular people and feel sorry for them.

We are one of the smartest people in the school and like to keep it that way.
