Music is my strength, my power, and my will
It guides me through everyday
It helps me turn over a new leaf, when I wake up
It helps me see what is possible today and what I am capable of
It reminds me of great memories, and greater experiences
From the past, present, and hopeful future
In front of my friends, and relatives
I put on a happy smile
But deep down I am struggling
I don't like to talk about it, but music helps with that
When I hear Nas rap about his struggles
or Whodini rap my favorite song
It helps
It shows me people are going through worse, and still making it out
So I know
When I make it out
and I will
I will have hope
and Music gave me that hope
Which is why Music is Beautiful...
