Chapter 1 ~ Your Famous?

"June we're here!" My Dad shouted with excitement as we drove into the parking lot of FIT. This was the school that I dreamed of going to ever since I was young. I've always had a passion for fashion and design ever since I was little. Before my mom passed when I was five, I would always get into her closet and dress up in her clothes and shoes. I would walk around the house pretending to be a super model. I always knew that I wanted to be in the fashion business and FIT was the perfect school for me.
I squealed with excitement. Once my dad had parked the car, I jumped out to stretch my legs from the hour drive from Brooklyn to Manhattan. My dad began to grab my things while I walked inside to get my keys. "Hello. Could I please get my keys for my dorm?" I asked the lady at the front desk.
"Of course! What is your name and I will get them for you" the lady said kindly.
"June Anderson" I replied with a smile. She nodded and handed me my keys.
"Here you go. I hope you love it here at FIT. If you have any questions always feel free to come ask" she said.
"Thank you so much I appreciate it" I said grabbing my keys and walking back out to meet my dad.
For the next hour we brought up all my stuff. When we finally had everything in my dorm I knew it was time to say goodbye. "I'm going to miss you. I can't believe my little babygirl is all grown up" my dad said pulling me into a hug.
"I love you dad. Thank you for everything you have done to get me here. I promise I will come and visit" I said as we pulled apart.
"I love you June. Call me when you get situated" he said. I nodded before we waved goodbye and he left my dorm. A few seconds later I heard the door open again.
"Dad did you forget something?" I questioned walking out of my room to see what he came back for. I was surprised when I saw that instead of my dad there was a girl with bright blond hair that had just walked in. "Oh I am so sorry I thought you were my dad. But hi I'm June and you must be Alyssa" I said sticking out my hand. She nodded and shook my hand.
"I am so happy to finally meet you June! Oh and I think we are sharing a room. Our other roommates are supposed to arrive later tonight" she said with a smile. I nodded and we both walked into our room and began to decorate to make it feel more like home for the next year.
About two hours later we had finished. I had a gray comforter with a pink blanket draped over the end of the bed and a bunch of pillows. On the wall I had strung lights in zig zags and hung up pictures of my friends and family. On my desk I had my makeup and hair stuff set up neatly. Under my bed I had extra makeup, clothes, and other random things. "Hey June come in the kitchen!" Alyssa shouted to me. I put my phone on the charger and walked out to the kitchen. "So I was thinking, why don't we play a game to get to know each other?" She asked. I nodded and sat down at the table across from her.
"So what do you want to know. I'm kinda boring just to warn you" I said making her laugh.
"Well what is your full name?" She asked.
"June Marie Anderson"
"Age?"
"18"
"Relationship status?"
"I'm a single Pringle"
"Where are you from?"
"Brooklyn NY"
"Family?"
"I have one sister and my dad. My mom died when I was young"
"Oh I am so sorry. That was insensitive for me to ask that. We can stop if you want" she said with a frown.
"Hey it's ok, you didn't know. Let's continue" I said.
"Ok. Hobbies?"
"Basically youtube"
"You have a youtube channel?" She asked surprised.
"Yeah. I don't know if you've ever heard of it. It's called June Marie" I said as she looked me up on her phone. She dropped it on the table and looked at me with big eyes.
"June. You have 3 million subscribers. MY ROOMMATE IS FAMOUS!" She shouted.
"Hey shhhhh keep it down. I don't want too many people knowing because they will use me like everyone else" I said.
"Oh I'm sorry. My roommate is famous!" She whisper shouted making me laugh.
"What our roommate is famous?" Said two girls as they walked into the dorm smiling. "You must be June and Alyssa. My name is Mia and this is Hazel" Mia said as they both came and hugged us.
"Well girls is it ok if we get to know each other tomorrow? It's kind of late and I'm really tired, plus I'm sure you want to get set up and all that" I said.
"Yeah of course, goodnight" Hazel said with a wave. Alyssa and I both walked into our room and laid down. I can already tell that this was going to be a year that I will never forget. Now I just need to figure out if that is a good or bad thing.
