As I walk to the kitchen, I hear my mom behind me. "Can you go get your sister? She's awake."
"Ok." I turn around and walk past my mother. I walk to my baby sisters room and open the door. I see her standing up in her crib, staring at the corner of the room. "Hey!" I said. She keeps staring at the corner. I walk over to where she's looking, and she moves a little to the left, to look behind me. "What's wr—"
I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn quickly, to find no one there.
"What in the world." I turn back around and see that my sister is gone. "Hey, where'd you go?" I leave her room and see nothing. I go ask my mom if she's seen her.
"No," she says. "You were there with her, not me." I search the house for her. I check her room last and see her in the corner—the same corner that she kept staring at. She's being held by a dark shadow. The dark figure is gently singing to her.
"Join us. Join us, my baby. Where the fire...and the people...burn to the ground. The fire crackles, and the dead scream. Join us. Join us, my baby."
