To begin this story, I need to explain who Rick is. He is a kin of purgatory, but is not mentioned because he is a traitor to them. He changed sides when he was 13 and meet Makarov, he is now 20 years old and is in a serious relation ship with Lucy.
Lucy- Excuse me everyone, I have a big announcement, I'm pregnant and Rick is the father.
Erza- Who would have thought that announcing a pregnancy would make the strongest wizard in Fairy Tail faint.
Rick- Lucy, we need to talk now
Rick is a master of wind magic and is able to "ride" the wind, so he can teleport. He grabs Lucy and take them to his house.
Rick- Lucy you could have told me before you announce it to everyone
Lucy- Sorry Rick, but i was just so excited that i couldn't wait to tell everyone.
Rick- Well this is really bad timing cause I just accepted a decade quest
Lucy- You can't go, I'll be a single parent then, and you'll be gone for a decade, our child will be 10 by then.
Rick- I can't help it, when I accept a quest, I always finish it. Besides, I am the strongest wizard in Fairy Tail, it won't take me that long to finish this quest.
On that note, Rick left his pregnant wife to take this dangerous quest. Before leaving town, he met Natsu and Gray. He requested that during his leave of absence that they both take care of Lucy, and if they failed, he would collapse their lunges with his ancient wind magic.
2 Months later
Lucy- I can't believe I'm three months pregnant, and the father isn't here to help me at all.
Mira- Its ok, I'm sure he will be back soon.
The doors open, and Rick enters, beaten badly, but alive with a smile on his face.
Makarov- So you were successful my boy, great job. Your wife has been missing you, so you keep all the money from the mission so you can stay with her for quite some time.
Lucy- Rick, how dare you leave me for so long!
Rick- Lucy what I did was for you and our child, I wanted to stay with you, but my place costs 5 million a months, and this quest gave me enough to stay their for 3 years now, that was 180million. I also made sure that Gray and Natsu cared for you in my absence.
Lucy- You could have told me that before leaving, and now decade quest pays that much, you went on century quest and didn't tell me.
Rick- I know i lied, but you wouldn't have let me go if I told you, so can we please continue this conversation at home. I'm tired and would like to enjoy being with you and the rest of the guild.
Lucy was furious with Rick, but Levy and Gajeel were there to help him out by calming the mother to be down.
As the party went on celebrating Rick's return, a brawl as usual broke out between Natsu and Gray, this was usual, but the problem was that Lucy was in the middle of it. With Rick's usual speed and strength he sent both flying off out of the guild. It was about 11 pm and Lucy was tired as can be. Rick walked his pregnant wife home, and Lucy decided to continue the argument.
Lucy- Why did you decide to leave me at the beginning of my Pregnancy
Rick- Would you have liked for me to leave you later in the pregnancy and miss our child's birth, or should I have missed some of his really young years when you would most likely need my help the most. I decided to go on this quest so that i could be with you when you need me the most. Natsu and Gray both said that you never needed their help.
