"Gods are not that big deal now. We know who they are."
Chapter 1: Blown away
It was weird. Kite couldn't exactly see what was outside as the bus drove on. He could sense an unusual feel of the motion; quite terrific.
"What place is this?" he asked.
"This is no place," the odd guy who flared disgust in him said. Since, the bastard forced him to follow him, he had been waiting, for a chance to smash his balls to pulp!
Kite tried to focus. He noticed that the surrounding outside was a warp of different things. Like silhouettes of all worldly stuffs. Some flashes seemed like shades of people. Now Kite was getting mad. Just then, with a gash, he confirmed that, that would happen at superhigh speed. This bus, is this travelling hypersonic? No it must be some sort of barrier to conseal the bus. This people gotta be ... No, I can't just keep sitting. I need to get off this thing.
"Listen, I don't know who you are and why you're dragging me into this. Tell me if there's any reason, or you can just drop me any where in India," Kite sounded at the edge of his patience. He didn't reply. Much to his frustration.
A strange man, who seemed to have no conscious, was driving the bus. The odd guy, probably western, sat in the adjacent seat with raised legs. He walked up to Kite, nonchalantly, and seated himself infront of him. He raised his capshirt's hood, and grinned at Kite. He looked modest, while having an oblong face.
"Geez, you've ever been abducted before? Don't bother. A happy person knows how to be happy in the worst situation. Well, I'm Dean Martinez," Dean blinked an eye.
"Kite. Just Kite," it was no fun. I'm serious damn it.
"Nervous? You don't need to think about what happened back at the policestation. Those cops' asses would still hurt a lot, I can guarantee this."
"It's nothing really. I just can't believe that freaking MLA used me to plaster his crimes," Kite exclaimed. Internally, he cried. He wouldn't be able to show his face again to any of his close ones. Unless, the corrupted oaf flushes out the truth. He continued, "can you help me?"
"Sure," Dean leaned forward, "you don't wanna go home, don't you? Such case happened with me too."
Kite wanted to escape as hard as he wanted to get out of that prison. He hoped this odd guy wouldn't be using him as a hostage or for a crime scheme. While, he ponderred about what to do at this fix. I better keep up the talk untill I get something and a chance to act.
"You got powers?" Kite asked.
Dean's expression was plain, "I did blasted away those irritating cops with photon energy. I can project them out of my body and direct their flows,"
All long since a lad , he and his friends could only estimate possibilities. But now, it's absolutely true. His powers was gained, Dean told Kite; not mentioning how. The Dean said:
"I like your patience. I've been watching you from the start. You're steadfast but unsteady."
"I think 'clumsy' would be more suitable," Kite was always looking into his eyes. He wanted to show confidence, not fear.
"Maybe," Dean turned to face ahead of the bus. And bent down his head. Kite was confused.
"You alright?" It was odd but Kite was a bit concered.
"Yeah, its nothing..really," he sounded hoarse. A dark aura started to generate around him. The air went frosty. A beat of Kite's heart went long and shivering.
Dean's face was unnoticeable with the black mist encircling him. He groaned. He shifted his vision towards Kite. Kite was taken aback, with hair raised like loaded of charged static. His back thud against the metal. Still, he struggled to push himself against the surface. He cared nothing but to move away as far as he can. Maybe arming himself would help? He moved his hand through. He got hold of something hard, perhaps a shaft, a steel shaft! He pull and pulled and pulled. The thing wasn't moving any hell. He tried on and on, putting in all his might. His eyes couldn't shift themselves. They can't just keep the foe out of sight. Why don't this thing move? Damn it!
What is this thing?! With quick motion he placed his eyes on the thing. Crap! This is a support handle!! What's wrong with me?!
Dean kept glaring at him. He noticed that the strange driver wasn't minding. He yelled questions, rather asking for help, but to no avail. He turned back only to see Dean's hand aimed at him. That struck him like a girl's slap in the public. A torrent of overactive photons smashed him through the window. It didn't hurt much as he expected, but that's only for now.
