A light in the darkness
Chapter 3
I stare at Laura. Still smiling. I cant believe that this is really happening. My brain cant think of anything else but Emmett, and i dont know if thats a good or bad thing. Its probably a good thing, a really good thing if you look at the state that i am in. I mean, i have literally no family, i have to deal with a completly broken heart, plus my best friend is totally crazy.
I sigh, a small sigh, realising that having this nice happy feeling that i have is by far the most coma inducing feeling ive ever had. And i know that i dont want to get rid of it.
Emmett is coming to visit me, and i am so happ about it.
"This calls for a celebration!" Laura chirps, yelling at the top of her lungs. It make me laugh, and she drags me to the kitchen. She starts looking in the cupbpoards, and i giggle.
"Bottom left." She stares at me and opens the bottom left cupboard.
Champagne.
"How did you know?" she says smiling.
"A celebration is usually celebrated with champagne."
She takes the bottle out and shoves my shoulder.
"Cheeky."
I laugh and she pours us a glass each. I hold my glass up.
"To a crazy life." I say.
"TO A CRAZY LIFE!" Luara shouts and clinks her glass with mine. We both take a huge gulp of the bubbly sweet drink and burst into laughter.
The night seems to go on and on. But its fun.
After having finished three entire bottles of champagne, Laura and myself fall onto the couch, laughing uncontrollably.
"No no no! I convinced him that he should kiss me!" Laura tells me making me laugh so hard that not a single peep comes from my mouth.
Everything is funny right now. Thats what one and a half bottles of good champagne will do to you.
"No way!" i laugh and fall back into my silent fit of laughter. Laura joins me and drops her head on my chest, both of us drunk as hell. I dont want to stop this, or go to bed. I dont want her to leave. I just want her to stay here and drink with me.
I go to pour another drink but a hand grabs mine before i can wrap my fingers around the bottle.
"I think youve had enough." I know that voice. Its very familiar. I look up and my laughter instantly stops.
"Jason..." my voice is low and barely a whisper.
As soon as his name leaves my mouth Laura's head shoots up, her face fallen as if shes just got the news that her childhood dog has passed away.
"What are you doing here?" She asks flatly.
"I came to apologise to Stacey, alone. I realised that i shouldnt give up so easily." He seems to be serious.
"How did you even get in here?!" Laura's voice becomes concerned and she looks around for someplace that he could have gotten in through.
He holds it up infront of him. "Spare key." he says.
Of course he still has it. But why didnt he use it this morning when he came with Laura? I dont want to be confused right now...ugh happy laughing state please stay with me.
Laura stands up and walks striaght into Jason, shoving him backwards using her hands against his chest.
"Leave Jason! Stacey doesnt even want your apology, shes found a new guy. His name is E-" I cover her mouth with my hands after realising what she was telling him. Jason turns from Laura to me and lowers his eyes at me.
