Lance's POV

I woke up to my Mama banging on my door.

"Hijo! Wake up it's time for breakfast!" She said in her usual sweet voice.

I swung my legs off the bed and stretched. "Okay Mama! I'll be right down!" I said in a cheerful voice.

I heard her footsteps walk away and immediately dropped to the floor groaning. My side still hurt from last nights beating.

I sighed and got up to wash my face and get ready for school.

As I was changing my shirt I looked at the cuts I had made the night before. I winced as I pulled on my usual blue long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

I headed downstairs for breakfast and saw my father there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in spite of myself.

He turned with an angry expression on his face. "What did you say boy?! Is that how you talk to your father?"

I looked down and mumbled "no sir..."

"What was that?"

I straightened up and said louder "No sir!"

He grunted and went back to his food.

I ate quickly and ran out the door to meet Hunk and began walking to the hell hole we call school.

What a wonderful start to the day......

Keith's POV

I was getting ready to leave the house when a cold robotic arm wrapped around me.

"Be careful little bro."

I rolled my eyes and shrugged him off. "Yeah, yeah. Okay Shiro."

"What? It's your first day at a new school!" I smiled slightly at his offended voice.

"Mhm. Yeah well, I'm gonna be late on the first day if you don't let me go."

His eyes widened and he looked at his watch. "Shit! You're right!"

I raised an eyebrow. "Language Shiro."

He chuckled. "Whatever. Just get in the car before you're really late."

I stuck my tongue out and obeyed. I winced as I moved my arms.

Last night was hell. I was awake all night while blue flowers sprung from my arms.

I wondered why my soulmate would hurt themselves..but shook the idea off as we sped into the parking lot.

I got out of the car and took a deep breath before I went inside.

New school...new life....again...
